Looks better than our proposed expansion

By 2026 most of the worst dossers are out of contract and if we don’t go up the parachute payments cover the costs still. Lots of people that buy clubs are surprisingly dumb about but some miserly, moneyball acolyte yanks could actually ok here. The hard yards have been done already we just need competent backroom staff

They make their pubs too homogenous and force their landlords to buy soft drinks through them. Plus they’re stingy with guest ale choice - they should take the handbrake off

Cricketers is the most neon Nike dri-fit and a sleeve place I’ve ever been to

I’m really bad at articulating my thoughts on this, but we hemmed ourselves in with FFP and overspent anyway. Other clubs (Everton, Newcastle, Villa, Chelsea, Forest) weren’t terrified, spent what they needed and dealt with any penalties. They also orchestrated PSR swindle deals and do whatever they needed to do. We threw away our best ever position because we shat our pants about it when everybody else was blasé enough to not care. The rules are crap but we’ve been weirdly semi-compliant but neither got our house in order OR just went balls to the wall.

We've stopped functioning as a team, picking through the bones of individuals is barley worth it because two shit managers have masked any individual ability.
-
Not sure I've ever knowingly been in a Punch Pub, I'm guessing this probably not great news though.

Jarvis does have his moments but our trajectory has been way better since he took over.

Ndidi has been one of our better players this season. He's always been committed, played well last year and has been dragged down by those around him. If he was to leave in the summer then I'd wish him well. 300 appearances, FA cup, Championship and Community Shield winner, a near-constant in our best ever era and a player we won't know how badly we'll miss him until he's gone.

Worst thing you've done in a job without being sacked?

We would be attractive to savvy buyers because Top’s mismanagement has created some alpha in us an investment. - Big(ish) fanbase, ground ripe for expansion and planning secured - Bigger name relative to Bournemouth, Forest, Fulham, Brighton, Palace etc to due to 2016(-2021) - Seagrave - Productive academy, Barnes, Chilwell, KDH c. £120m alone - Central location, ~ an hour to London The outstanding liabilities (Sounds like Top, Rudkin, Whelan wahey) would knock the purchase price down too. Southampton were worth £125m ish in January 2022, we’d be more valuable than that anyway but you’re essentially buying a midtable PL club for a yo-yo price. If Top (or the family) are wavering on us as asset, sell now before our value diminishes further through his incompetence

Great late drama

I don’t give a shit if Danes, Zambians or Argentines get ‘Leicester’ garbled. People get things wrong in their own tongue because some words are just difficult or plain weird. Expecting 100% faithful, native pronunciations is the sort of exceptionalism some people (not the OP) decry.

He’s too raw for that still

Lacking the killer strike bowler that puts an innings to bed.

First thing I thought of. Went mad at the goal anyway (in the living room) and the celebration has me howling

Not to trivialise more serious things but it does feel a bit like a death in that every time you think of it - it still gets you. It’ll take some time to come to terms with it, how lucky we are.

I quite liked both of the blokes from Derbyshire. The laughing at the key in the door was very Top Gear. Letitia speaking Mandarin should be a huge advantage both I didn't think that bore out really.
