Ayew started in 5/10 games under Cooper and Reid 4/8 (sorry those apps where they've made apps so not totally reflective). The original point was he was a dogshit manager for various reasons, the fact we didn't spend more money is probably a good thing
-
Cannon was a January transfer and so was Woyo so the net spend 88m - 35m (euros/transfermarkt). 53m euros so about £46m net. We don't know the exact transfer approval process but it's pretty obvious Skipp, Ayew and Reid were die cast Cooper signings. Can you imagine Maresca asking for those three?

Anybody been to Varna? Like the idea of Bulgaria, cheap beers (before the € completely obliterates it), sunshine and something different to a Mediterranean summer holiday.
-
Skipp, Ayew and Reid have all the hallmarks of Cooper signings. Skipp - England U17s under Cooper, took MGW to Forest on th back this link and similar at Swansea. Ayew - signed his brother twice ffs Reid - PL experience is something he parked for at Forest, you cod tell who were his signings and who were the clubs. BEK and Okoli were pretty obviously not his players. Buonanotte, no idea on that one.
-
Cooper lumbered us with Ayew & Reid then broke the bank for Oliver Skipp. Two lucky wins against Southampton and Bournemouth masked what would have been been 12 winless games. A 2-4-6 record with a team that came up as champions and we had our second highest net spend with that oaf. If we hadn't have sacked him we would have gone on to do what RVN's team did anyway.

Is he just unfit? He’s obviously quick but I’ve barely seen him beat a fullback all season. Appointing a manager (free agent) halfway through preseason (confirmed as a Championship club about 3 months prior) was an abysmal dereliction of duty from Top/Rudkin.

I'm no fan of the guy but the owner and most senior footballing decision maker are totally inept. More communication exposes the ineptitude further, strategically - making sure they don't get on camera makes sense -
We are family - every KPFC monga that thinks the Raskriakorns (sp) give a shit about them
-
He just isn’t a CEO, he’s barely even been FD for two years. Given the total lack of experience elsewhere in the organisation overpromoting an FD when we’re going through the biggest sea change in the club’s history is incredibly short sighted. It’s nothing personal against him but we need a fresh pair of ruthless and experienced eyes to come in and enact massive change.

Another that knows he’ll never have it as good elsewhere. -
Capper was probably issuing the same warnings Davies was, it’s just Rudkin paid no attention. “We need to sell in January to get through PSR regs” > buys Souttar and Kristiansen for £30m+ As you’ll know CEOs get promoted after time served stints as FDs, COOs, MDs or whatever, not from a mid management position to the most senior in a matter of months. It looks like Top/Rudkin were struck by somebody just actually doing their job well they’ve given him the keys to the most senior business role at the club.
-
CL Fox is well connected with the club
-
We don't know what they are doing
-
There is irrefutable evidence he was ignored once over PSR concerns through the hearing document. He probably does sincerely believe he can be the one to make the difference but his hands are tied with how inept Top and Rudkin are. If people senior to you won't heed your eminently sensible advice then taking on more responsibility isn't wise - imo. It's his head on the chopping block, having to step up into a role he has absolutely experience with, it's also an incredibly demanding position given where we are and what needs to be done. Perhaps he has the ability to be a great CEO but that seems unlikely given he's been an FC at Leicester for about a decade before being promoted to FD, then being fast-tracked to CEO. If I worked for the club I'd d be looking for a way out right now. Instead Davies has had the chance to potentially 4/5/6x his salary in 3 years, he might take the gamble because he might never get the chance to earn that much again, I don't blame him but the optimistic reading is he's passionate and will do the right thing; the cynical reading is he knows Top and Rudkin make all the decision so he's powerless anyway but earns a pretty penny for doing so.
-
It's a ridiculous promotion for Davies so I don't blame him for taking it. He probably does have the best interests of the club at heart but taking the promotion when it's way beyond previous responsibilities working for people who already haven't listened to you - it's pretty obvious he's set up to fail. He'll be the fall guy but maybe he's taking the opportunity to line his pockets on the gravy train.

The OP was from 2023, dredged it up as it was the ableist KP out thread I could find

This was the earliest KP out thread a cursory search pulled up, interesting to see who could see the wood for the trees
