  1. They’re inconsistent and all over the place but whatever they are Top is worse. The authorities have deducted us 6 points but Top & Rudkin have been worth about -15 each season for the past 5.
  2. I just can’t be moved by what’s happened to other clubs - so what if Chelsea were docked 12 points, if anything that helps Top’s position, “see, everybody is getting deductions”.
  3. With these long and historic issues they know they're multi-year court cases that progress glacially. With us, Everton, Forest etc they can be concluded much faster. But because all of this is so boring I just wish they'd hit Man City and Chelsea with -12 and we can move on with it, even if people didn't like it. It's so bloody boring.
  4. There is some hypocrisy sure but the rules are such complex web that different punishments apply to seemingly similar. I'm more concerned we just never even tried to abide by the rules, the new CEO basically confirmed it. The fact we can't even submit our accounts on time is a big problem, what the rules actually are immaterial at this point we just didn't think they'd apply to us. Paraphrasing but "Well we've finished in Europe two seasons in a row so we thought it would happen again" was a sublimely arrogant and complacent way of thinking. Don't forget we were relegated twice before we had any deductions. Our owner did this to us, not any rules, the fact other clubs have things inconsistently applied just lets Top off the hook. The PL and EFL have looked like mugs but we've just never gotten to grips with our finances to the point we're gambling with the future of the club, PSR or FFP didn't do that, our beloved owner's incompetence and negligence did.
  5. At this stage I’m fed up of the protestors having to carefully stage manage the optics meanwhile the club do what they want and burn the institution down
  6. I think monkey see monkey do works with these sort of protests, even the two recent ones seemingly picked up more on RDR than were there initially, although I've been close to the front so not seen it very well. There's a critical mass needed for almost any form of protest action, thankfully a march doesn't need that many. People saying throw tennis balls etc just don't seem to realise that 8-% of the fanbase are stunningly unaware. The KP legion isn't very big and neither is the KP out one, the floating lot are going to be won over by KP failures but that's going to take time we don't have
  7. The trouble is anybody willing to protest post match doesn’t attend or has already left the ground early enough. It’s reliant on an abysmal performance too (which we do usually provide). There is no perfect protest, it’s splitting hairs trying to find the ‘optimal’ protest for a fanbase that wouldn’t protest a headache with paracetamol. The route is immaterial, that isn’t the difference maker.
  8. Read the Michael Boot story on the archive site, seems unfathomable now!
  9. Depends if we've basically factored them with Macquarie or not, people keep saying this but I don't actually know if it's confirmed anywhere. We have two parachute payments, something like £55m this season and £45m next season. What we don't know is if we've already advanced that money basically, if we have dome and we've spent it we're f ucked.
  10. No, it puts him at 54th (can't filter by position without faffing around in excel). Cannon is on 0.31, Ivanovic at Millwall is at 0.32, Richard Kone 0.29

  12. 0.38 G+A per 90 this season - which is ok for this team, Daka has played fewer minutes than he ought to given his output. If we’d started him over Ayew from the outset we’d have more points, simple as that.
  13. 17th for SP xG for, 20th for SP xGA against. We're 'only' 15th for SP goals conceded so it should actually be worse
  14. I never said he was good, just that he meets the threshold of being a striker. I ddin't want Ayew in the PL because he basically never scores or assists, because he's lost any pace he did have he's somehow defaulted to being a striker?? It's the sort of thing if you put this to people in 2021 they'd just laugh it off but these things keep happening. To make it worse we often play another paceless winger centrally because he isn't suited to being out wide anymore. I thought Rowett would be a to back-to-basics, round pegs manager but he's been Cifunetes 2.0 so far faffing about with a false 9 and players out of position. Maybe the idea he isn't picking the team is correct.
  15. "bUt dAkA hAs SqUaRe BoOtS" Daka's contract is expiring but he's never stopped putting any effort in, plays as part of the team and actually plays where a striker should. He's never been prolific but it's starting to become the Ward/iversen of 25/26. The latter isn't amazing but can fulfil the basic function required whilst the former gets picked and costs us games. Daka has 3 goals (no penalties) in 16.7 nineties (13 starts). Ayew has 3 non-penalty goals in 24 starts (and nineties). 0.19 np-goals per ninety vs 0.13 np-goals. Daka also has the same number of assists as Ayew (3).
  16. What are we going to be like in League 1 without any good players, needing about 15 signings and no money? We’re going to be reliant on Alves, Braybrooke, Cartwright, Evans etc
  17. What the **** was he doing stopping James? C unt
  18. If we didn’t take an expensive gamble on Fatawu or land James on loan we’d be on about 20 points. It’s ludicrous. Some of these have played 100s of PL games - it’s just rotten. We could put good PL players like Ouattara, Senesi and Baleba in this side and they’d look a shadow of themselves.

  21. Wilder is obviously a good manger and he’s a pretty firm disciplinarian - I think Choudhury responds better to that tha here where he rules the roost despite the drink driving.
  22. He wins the ball somewhere between 2-3x as often as those do
  23. Probably more like it but it really isn’t impossible- I think we’ve just been conditioned as a fanbase to get nothing for these players. There’s always a market somewhere
