  1. If you gave Cifuentes the 23/24 squad we’d be about 6th at this stage. Shit manager. QPR conducted a proper managerial search and pulled off a coup in Stephan. We just looked at ‘Championship experience’ bums and who was available. The same m ongs that got us in the mess are barely even trying to get us out of it. Cifuentes has to go and in a way, I hope we appoint Martin so it accelerates the demise and people get pissed off enough.
  2. Even the best players in the world have bad games. For some it’s like academy players have to be faultless even when they take the place of shit players,
  3. Not even watched the game today and I’ve refrained from commenting on the result generally but I can just picture so vividly Ayew playing like a twat. He scores in menstrual cycles as a winger and we play him up front! Hated the signing at the time and he’s surpassed my basement expectations.
  4. Agreed, it’s the Hoskins link. I love the lived-in shabbiness and charm, unpretentious and just about the beer and rustic bar snacks. No better place for a pint on your own either with the litany of books and newspapers. I just fear that it never has that long left.
  5. Always enjoy getting looked at as if I might be an alien because I’m under 50.
  6. The club have killed the inflow of supporters with their aversion to general sale and exorbitant match day prices. There are lots of fans, even now, who would bother but they will have stopped trying after facing club imposed barrier after barrier.
  7. On the theme of goals against us, I remember Cresswell scoring a screamer
  8. I agree - it’s convenient for the pro Top slugs to try and obfuscate the situation. Whether he owns us or KP so they’re so closely entwined KP out is perfectly valid
  9. You occasionally have some people saying we’re nothing to do with King Power anymore!
  10. He was signed in the back of a tournament performance, a recruitment cardinal sin. He was also shit. Benkovic was scouted properly.
  11. You have to try and separate the process and outcome. Benkovic was good process/bad outcome. Right age, good profile, looked talented and not overly expensive. Kapustka was a far worse signing (who also left on a free)

    When Taken

    #WhenTaken #660 (18.12.2025) I scored 808/1000🏅 1️⃣📍230 km - 🗓️8 yrs - 🥇181/200 2️⃣📍2.3K km - 🗓️4 yrs - 🥈143/200 3️⃣📍118 km - 🗓️2 yrs - 🥇193/200 4️⃣📍1.5K km - 🗓️26 yrs - 🥉91/200 5️⃣📍723 m - 🗓️0 yrs - 🥇200/200 https://whentaken.com Normally I feel like i'm good at distinguishing between different far eastern scripts, ruined what would have been a decent score
  14. Skipp in some senses is the worst signing because he wasn't worth half of that amount. Nobody else would have came close to paying what we did, we spent essentially double his market value voluntarily - there was no bidding war or mitigating circumstances. Ward is the only running him close on that metric however he's by far the worst player we've signed relative to the level we were at. Soumare is shit, Daka hasn't worked out, Slimani was illogical given we had Vardy as the first choice ST etc but we paid close to the market value for all of those. Skipp has just never been a £20-25m player.
  15. I wasn't the one who suggested him. I hadn't tracked him closely so was surprised he's been very prolific for a wide player across a few different leagues. Would be a coup
  16. 7 goals in 14 starts for Brest last season, 11 in 17 for Rangers prior to moving to France?
  17. Still not a peep on this? Seems like it might actually be February. Purgatory.
  18. Reid is running hot, good championship player but there is a reason Brighton and Chelsea have signed Buonanotte - it's because he's a good player. Reid is a lower PL/upper Championship one. Buonanotte scored 6 and set 3 up in 19 nineties (16 starts). Reid is at 6 and 2 from 17 nineties (18 starts) with 4 of those goals coming in the Championship. Plus Buonanotte isn't even 21 yet.
  19. I wouldn't have thought so either but if we can pick him up - do it. I really like Braybrooke but as I've said a few times, we have so little depth in midfield long term.
  20. Norwich have lots of talent, should be trying to prize a few of their players away. Jacob Wright is 20 and not getting much of a kick https://fbref.com/en/players/b6db05c3/Jacob-Wright
  21. There''s also an opportunity cost in not cancelling it. Wages, clogging up the squad, having a player who doesn't want to be here around the squad etc. I can forgive that loans might not be ideally structured but we're better off saying no rather than being lumbered with an Edouard again - we have agency, we can negotiate. I can;t forgive the same mistakes being made again and again just because that's the way things are - when seemingly other clubs don't fall afoul.
  22. It wasn’t binary. We could have played them together. Besides BEK and Buonanotte are much better players than Reid.
  23. Well they didn’t sign him. There wouldn’t have been good performance data so it would have fallen on traditional scouting to pull the trigger.
  24. Hard to prove any of it and I vacillate on him anyway but I think it’s Glover. Fatawu was a great piece of scouting.
