  1. Somebody from within football can just crack on with the job and use the autonomy to their advantage. Done outside of football will likely defer to Rudkin and Top on sporting matters and that’s the issue
  2. You could always go to bluesky for ancien regime liberalism
  3. Ask Jack to host for an episode? Probably one he's well suited to tbh
  4. If the article accurately apportioned the success to the people who were involved in it - it'd make everybody still at the club look terrible, it's basic self-preservation
  5. Wouldn’t be the worst appointment, knows the industry - bit more of an equitable approach to fans. But I think we could do better (we won’t).
  6. Given the lack of footballing nous the owner has we need somebody that won’t have the wool pulled over their eyes by Top & Rudkin. Whelan was sidelined precisely because of the special relationship between the two. For the long term good of the club (if KP aren’t going anywhere) we need a chief exec that can manoeuvre Rudkin away from key decisions. A chief exec used to dealing with PE, shareholders or savvy private owners is a different kettle of fish to dealing with a negligent man child. Simon Wilson at Stockport would be my choice but I couldn’t name many.
  7. We have a paper thin squad already, we can’t bin 6 players off, we have to play some of those dossers.
  8. 1-0 Swansea. Our goal line is pretty much nailed on un under 2.5, they're solid defensively but we're just so prone to putting ourselves under pressure.
  9. They’re not but I’d rather have Fatawu, Monga, James et al and come up against defensive teams. Ipswich aren’t struggling (xG wise) and they’re coming up against defensive set ups.
  10. We would probably be no worse off if we had an embargo in the summer of 2024. We’d have been allowed to sign Fatawu but nobody else. BEK - turning a small profit, so not even worked out particularly well Ayew - shit player, overpaid, old Okoli - not terrible but out of favour already Edouard - stupid waste Skipp - £20m+ on him Reid - Old, nothing player Our business is so bad we need to be prevented from doing it by the footballing authorities, pause for a second and think how ridiculous that is
  11. “But but but … points deduction” We didn’t get one and we had our highest net spend ever. It was a characteristically lazy managerial search that usual regime goons defended because of an imagined looming deduction.
  12. We signed him literally because Cooper knew him from his England u17 days, 7 years later. “Oh Jon boyo, Skippy is a good lad like and thas what we need in midfield good lads with experience in the Premier League” £20m without any process or system to follow. Pearson and co had built a working transfer set up a decade prior ffs. A normal, average DoF would have laughed the suggestion out the room.
  13. That was the point I was making. The leagues didn’t make us sign the detritus
  14. Take the Wednesday game out and we have 25 shots on target in 8 games. Joint worst xG/shot in the league, completely crap at making chances. That isn't a player quality issue, Hull aren't struggling to make chances and they have much worse players.
  15. I think Daka is probably too honest, should be going down as if he's slipped a disc
  16. The EFL and PL don't want us to succeed!!!
  17. We don’t have the fullbacks to offer any width though, we’re already too congested at times
  18. Missed loads of pushes in the back on Daka
  19. Pointless player. I absolutely despise Soumare and I’d rather have him on
  20. Needs more minutes before we can judge him properly but so far he’s looking very much like a Jozy Altidore
  21. He’s not had the best of circumstances but he’s making unforced errors now and we’re chronically uncreative. Chalk and cheese with what he said about being aggressive and playing positive football. Like the worst of Rodgers and Puel today which is a hateful combination
  22. Pass selection is braindead at the back
  23. Thought he didn’t offer enough as a 10. Was neat but nowhere involved or incisive enough - we’re really pinning a lot on Ramsey.
  24. He’ll cost us any whiff of promotion with his egregious negativity. Trying to sit back and see out a lead with 25 minutes to go gives the impetus to the opposition. If you take off forward players and you concede, lo and behold you’re chasing the game with worse players.
