We probably need two actually defensively capable across January and the summer. Norwich bought jacob Wright for £5m but don't seem to start him. 4 assist in 900 minutes last season. https://fbref.com/en/players/b6db05c3/Jacob-Wright Would be worth enquiring about imo.
-
Looks like he’s adding goals to his game - £30m will look a snip at the end of the season unfortunately
-
Anis Mehmeti's contract is up at the end of the season, it's worth having a go with a small fee in January. Smashing it for Bristol City this season. These are all out of contract in 2026 too. Hugo Bolin at Malmo too, although he mostly plays LW where we're pretty strong. Yari Veschaeren Trey Nyoni (lol) Gabriel Piccini (very nice Serie B stats) Andy Irving (no idea how good he is tbh, good record from midfield in Austria) Oscar Fraulo

Still gutted we were robbed of Braga, Athens, Zhaporizha (?) and Prague

He adds something we’re lacking, it’s not like Thomas contributed at all going forwards. Adds more athleticism too. -

Some of these guys must have about 8 years no claims on their car insurance -
I’m optimistic about all of them but what 2 professional starts for us between them?
-
We’re massively in the shit if we can’t afford £5m (we can). Our midfielders contracted past next summer are Choudhury and Skipp.
-
Unfair. You missed out the January 2029 loan to Stenhousemuir.
-
His 2024 in the Championship wasn’t great. 5 goals and an assist in 22 games for the champions wasn’t good enough even as the whole team stumbled. Besides his initial form he’s never really delivered since. I like him but he has to improve or be dropped quite simply. Probably not a total coincidence we’re s better second half team when Monga is on for Mavadidi.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Stadt replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ayew isn’t a good false nine either. Most people don’t have a problem with the role generally, Ayew is terrible traditional striker and barely better as a F9. He doesn’t create space for others because he positions himself far too deep and too wide, when he receives the ball he ends up orienting himself towards our goal and takes the pace out of attacks. If he was consistently creating chances like the Mavadidi one then fair enough but up to now he has 0.9 xG (mostly from the gift at Oxford) and 1.2 xA - not good enough. -
Especially early in the season he was the most advanced winger and often the most advanced player e.g Southampton away. As soon as teams worked out our system he wasn’t very effective, some of that was the system Only 4 of his 12 league goals in 23/24 came in 2024 - he’s never really hit any form since late 2023. I like him as a player but he has to start performing, 0 goals or assists in 5 Championship starts isn’t good enough.
-
For a play off chasing side maybe. He played 46 games too. Bundu who got relegated with Plymouth had 10 G and 6 A in about 60% of the minutes. Callum Robinson with similar numbers last season too.
-
Not quite as good as it used to be when Thornbridge ran it but it’s still one of the best. The Red Deer and Bath 1-2 was my favourite
-
He wasn’t that good in 23/24. 12 goals and 6 assists in 42 starts for the champions was a slightly below par return. Towards the tail end of the season he completely dried up. If Monga put in that performance he’d be not ready/miles off it/needs to come off the bench etc
-
Carranza’s header was a completely run of the mill bit of forward play but it was so refreshing just watching a striker move near the goal. Besides the obvious negative impact on our ability to win the game just watching Ayew does my head in. The bloke plays hero ball all the time but it’s like he’s got steel toe caps on.
-
This one had taken lots of different prep days and had to dry out for a while so needed more repair work than usual
-
Surely no more f ucking Ayew up top. He’s an anti-striker. When Carranza, James and Ramsey are settled I think we’re in for 80+ points. Cifuentes has frustrated me but he’s been hamstrung so far. I think 10 games is a fair waypoint to judge things

Whenever I’ve looked at the Huddersfield forum for Alves comments they’ve been very impressed with Castledine -
I have no musical ability at all but I’m completely fine with that. Salesmanship is immensely valuable, I can talk to people but I don’t have the killer knack for it. It’s the by far the best soft skill More personally I’d prefer to have been an much better footballer, I can hold my own but for such a preoccupation - I’m not great
-
Also Coventry have never had a player as good as Fatawu never mind Banks, Lineker, Kante, Mahrez, Vardy. Their legends are Peter Ndlovu and Gary McSheffrey. No matter the result tomorrow they’ll remain a pitiful club curtained in self delusion of an FA cup disappearing into the rear view of their grandad’s memories - ours was 4 years ago. Prior to that we won the league 9 years ago. We’ve won the second tier 8 times which is small fry, they’ve done it once. The best thing that has happened to them in on most of their lifetimes was beating us in a league game.
-
I don’t get this attitude - I personally don’t hate Derby but it’s still a big game because for other Leicester fans it is. There’s mutual dislike between fanbases. That’s how football rivalries work - it’s what they feel about us so as one we hate them back. It doesn’t matter where you’re from in the county these are big games and Cov fans are c unts so ergo it’s a big game. The gatekeeping and trivialising is silly and not befitting of a club that has been on the other foot so many times. Come on Leicester.
-
2 career league assists and one was on his debut. He doesn’t have any clear strengths does he
-
I hope we win and don’t give a shit about the performance
-
I’d say there’s probably about a 30% chance he leaves on a free anyway
