I’m in a group chat that includes about 6 different sets of fans and they despise Forest as much as we do. They’re a totally loathsome bunch because there’s not a dandruff flake of self-awareness amongst them. They staff about every new signing finally ‘unlocking’ their side as if the last 30 signings weren’t going to do the same thing. If we didn’t have the same hierarchy that’s presided over possibly the worst decline in PL history - you could forgive these sort of marginal decisions. In isolation, you can make case for this but given that we overpay players, over extend contracts, turn down good offers and we come out worst in negotiations, even with friendly agents; this extension will in all likelihood work out negatively for us. It can be construed as “just being negative” but the negative brigade on here have been right more often than not over the past 5 years.

Day out in Lincoln yesterday. Fairly strong real ale pub scene. Joiners, Victoria and the Strugglers is a cracking trifecta up the hill towards the castle. Saw a bottle of Ind Coope’s City Ale in the Victoria, which also had incredibly cheap food - burgers were like £6ish and decent too.

2 goals and 3 assists in about 700 minutes of senior football.
