I think the system stymied the wingers in 23/24. Fatawu specially didn't end up in the box much. Mavididi scored more when we had a bit more space, after game 29 he scored 3 goals and Fatawu just didn't really score bar against Woke Martin's idiocy. The wingers seem like they have a lot more freedom under Cifuentes so ideally we see them both much closer to goal - although I suspect Fatawu will always be like a 1 in 4 sort of player, he does tend to play a bit deeply for a modern inverted winger.

Select looks much more accomplished to me. Kone's technical ability ceilings him in the championship, his touch in tight spaces is crap and a lot of the goals he scored last year were against *crap* League One keeping. But if it's £5m it's a reasonable signing.

Food and the staff are great at the monk, absolutely nails the basics which most places don’t. You’re right, The White Hart is a good pub though besides the boohoo man JM10 interior. The tea room/cafe is worth having breakfast or lunch in at Stonehurst and it’s pretty reasonably priced.

£50ish for lunch I should add. Evening menu is pricier but it’s 7 courses iirc.

John’s House, if you can get in, best food I’ve ever eaten and it was just the lunch menu. Comes out to ~£50ish per head but it’s far better value than say 3 courses at somewhere a rung or two down like the Knight & Garter The Monk in Quorn is reliably very good, can’t go wrong with the Griffin in Swithland either.

I'm a 10/10 KP hater but I'm fairly excited because the academy grads and it's hard to know where we'll finish up. In 23-24 it felt like we should blitz it but I don't know where we'll stack up, so there's more intrigue
