Yeah didn’t head there as I’d read before it’s essentially the same as the Loughborough one.

Tried a few new pubs in Nottingham yesterday towards Canning Circus. The Sir John Borlase Warren is owned by Everards but operated by Lincoln Green Brewery, really steady option. Everards should supply their Project William pubs’ beers as guests in their own stock. The Falcon next door is a cracker, red wallpaper, potraits, proper upholstery and cheap for the hand-pulled beers. Then Hand & Heart, went because it sounded 🇬🇧✋ but felt like a similar set up to Cock & Hoop less it being cut into a cave. I wasn’t aware there were more cave pubs beyond YOTTJ. The area is bizarre, grandiose Georgian buildings mixed in with dilapidated buildings and obvious deprivation in loads of homelessness.

15% is pretty widely accepted as a good sample size. Besides, the people taking the survey are likely the most engaged fans we have and worth listening too.

Better than average tbh. Fell off in the end but whenever he did play he was good

It was surreal, genuinely like a fan was in goal -
We added some character and a nod to city’s history with the cinquefoil on the badge. Our stadium move was across the road. Great history of producing players for England.

Subscribe to the The Transfer Flow newsletter - you see how clubs and agents shop players about with friendly media outlets. Our players always seemed to be linked away via rumours from the buying club. We're also never the beneficiaries of the our relationship with agencies, we buy other club's dross but don't use them to out advantage because we're the idiots.
-
Rudkin’s inability to sell players has gaslighted our fanbase into thinking we just can’t ever sell players on big wages. Turkey, Saudi, other English clubs have the funds it’s just we don’t proactively shop them about. Rudkin barely talks to our own managers and players so he isn’t getting on the phone to the media, clubs and agents. Even if we had to pay a small percentage of their wages for a year - it’s better than paying all of them and having the player leave on a free, foregoing a small fee
-
Looks really exciting but raw. Only 6 of the goals were in open play I think but he's got all the ingredients. If he did make the leap to the PL he'd be a £50m player
-
It's to pay the exorbitant wage bill we still have and we barely do anything to address, rather than for transfer fees. Contracts expiring 2026: Ayew Coady Winks Pereira Soumare Daka Justin Thomas Marcal Let's say they're on £40k pw on average, (bar WMM) which is probably conservative - we have 44 days until the window closes, 6ish weeks. We'll pay that mob £1,920,000 in wages in that period and about £16,000,000 over the course of the season. If we just sold Soumare at whatever his PSR break even is, c. £4m, Winks for c. £3m, Coady for c. £2m, we'd have a bit more headroom, about £9m in fees and save £6m in wages. It makes sense to factor the parachute payments forward but it's just kicking the can down the road.

Ayew and Choudhury both play backwards far too often, can't see Cifuentes being a big fan. -

What happens if by November he's playing alright, new 3 year deal on £40k with a 50% promotion increas?. That's probably what happens if we keep him - or we lose him on a free anyway and we're almost back to square one. Skipp is a very similar player, younger and practically unsellable - he was in the championship TOTY last time he played in it and he's better defensively. I'd rather him there and get moany Winks off the books. -

Winks has a year left - we need to get rid. I was always under the impression we paid £7m for him but I just checked and it was £10m ffs!!! So we need to sell him for £3.34m to break even for PSR, I'm sure there'd be takers at that, Rangers, Fulham, Leeds etc. Just get rid -

I'd be worried if Winks was the lone pivot defensively. Great analysis and picking up on Cifuentes' sometimes weak defensive transitions is really important - so Winks' lack of defensive output and physicality would leave us exposed down the middle. *Last season (his championship profile is very similar) I can see it being Skipp - he played as the more defensive of the pair in Norwich's 4231 in 20/21. Looks a better fit for me - plus Winks only has a year left, cash in now or we lose him on a free or extend ffs. -

No - but he was the most pro-Maresca player generally. Bit of a leap to blame him for it but it's ceompletely secondary to not staying at the ground. -
This is the problem. I think Rudkin might struggle with object permanence - like a monkey might

I've thought about this too but if it doesn't work we don't have many other avenues to explore. -
There are all sorts of analysts - Sadler etc are coach-analysts. We'll probably promote from within but hiring a new recruit would be best. Often the analysts that are out on the grass are rally bright and go on to be good managers themselves à la Rohl.
-
His recruitment at QPR was a touch underwhelming but that was with very little to spend. Even without lots of sales we'll have a bit more petty cash
-
Sports science and load management have developed a lot since then. If Bellingham hadn't have played so many minutes at 16 - would he be the same player? I'm not saying he should start all the time just if he's as good as he threatens to be he should be playing at least 40 - 50% of minutes. For his own development but also for the benefit of the team.
