  1. We’re also the most successful second tier side ever. All time tables aren’t that kind to us but winning a title in this day and age is worth way more than reams of mediocre seasons in the top tier
  2. He scored 2 goals in 21 appearances last time he played in the Championship
  3. I’ve not really followed the instructions and outs of preseason but I’ve not seen him pictured or mentioned at all.
  4. That was because Wembley was inexplicably a third empty
  5. Ayew’s top scoring seasons he’s scored 12, 9 and 7 goals. If he starts up front next season he won’t hit 15 goals
  6. Daka Mavididi BEK Fatawu Ndidi Winks Kristiansen Nelson Okoli Pereira Hermansen Haven't seen enough of the younger players yet to say for certain whether they're better than this lot - I suspect it is the case. I think at least 3 of those move on though. We need to sign a striker.
  7. Hopefully the pitch is a nightmare and we're getting a go at their lower order on it. Otherwise
  8. Probably more fondly than the average club because of 2016 but a tiny bit of goodwill doesn’t mean anything - it’s fading quickly too. We’re like a lottery winner that spent it all frivolously, what a wasted opportunity.
  9. It feels like some people forget this is Top’s Leicester we’re talking about .
  10. I’ve trusted fbref for about 4 years now and it’s never let me down.
  11. Immigration is already a contentious issue and accession to Schengen scheme would add fuel to the fire.
  12. Strange area, it was busy-ish but hard pressed to say it was doing well. A few tents under doorways etc
  13. No, walked a really direct route there and back - the park is a nice area iirc? Had no idea about the MC cave. They’re not normally retiring when it comes self-aggrandisement so I’m surprised it’s not more a thing.
  14. Arsenal need somebody to really move the needle for them, lots of goals against Arouca probably doesn't translate to that. He's a good player and he'll score 17-20 goals imo but I don't think he's totally transformative for them.
  15. I'm not normally one for conspiritional, oh god uh ah they're just ah yeah crushing the little clubs wailing but EPPP with PSR makes it so difficult for to keep hold of young players. All the while bigger clubs can pick players up for a pittance. PSR just needs to be repealed, failing that enforce it properly to prevent cynical academy grad exchanges and selling training grounds or hotels. Binning it off is best though.
  16. 1 league goal against them last season in 4 apps and that was a penalty He is a bit of flat track bully
  17. Perhaps Chris Weale for the gloves.
  18. Anything that incentivises selling youth products is the opposite of sustainable. It also means club look to bleed fans for every penny too so it's a very bleak way of looking at 'sustainable business practises'. Clubs spending what they want was better than this.
  19. It wasn’t a comment on cash flow, accounting or regs - more that we sold some very talented players for almost the same we spent on shit
  20. I agree it's a bit too easy. Attributes at least how they're displayed need overhauling - trouble is you make it too difficult and the player base drops off
  21. Just realised we almost spent as much last summer as we raised in sales following the first relegation So Maddison, Barnes, Castagne fetched a tad more than we spent Skipp, BEK, Fatawu, Ayew, Okoli, Golding, Coulibaly.
  22. Thankfully not a Wasserman client
  23. I wasn't old enough for the CM days but my impression is a lot of the nostalgia is because it was so easy
  24. Are they struggling as bad as we are, how are we uniquely bad at dealing with it?
  25. They won 1 game the entire time Alves was on loan there so that return is excellent
