  1. I probably should have used the word anomalies rather irregularities. For example the SNP who received 0.7K votes have 9 seats, Reform who received 4.1M votes only have 4 seats and the LibDems 3.5M have 71 seats!!
  2. Given the irregularities of this system is it time to have a more fairer way? No incumbent Government will want to change as it is this system that brought them into power. So, perhaps it is up to us, the little people, to bring about change through pressure on our MPs or by a petition. I'm sure, across the UK, there are 100K people who can get this debated in Parliament.
  3. And the shit roads around Uppingham and the rest of the UK will still be in the same condition next year and probably in 5 years time.
  4. I'm not saying they should. If you read the various posts I was only replying to the question "what have the Conservatives done for Gaza?"
  5. Starmer share of the vote in his constituency of Holborn & St Pancras was down nearly 17.5% since 2019. He has a lot of work to there and nationally.
  6. What will Labour do for the people of Gaza?
  7. Total UK electorate = 48.2M Turnout was 60% which means 40% did not bother to vote, that's an awful lot of people.
  8. Simply because Ashworth is an obnoxious individual full of his own self-importance and utter knob.
  9. Staggeringly 6.5K folk voted for UKIP and 5.8K for the Monster Raving Looney Party!!
  10. "Going to be interesting", yes but will things improve and be seen to improve. I doubt it.
  11. Starmer and Labour who have been in Opposition for well over a decade will soon realise how difficult the job is now they are in power. Let's hope they remember their promises.
  12. No surprise in what the exit polls are telling us. In fact it would be a complete surprise if Labour didn't win by a landslide.
  13. Spoiled ballots are counted aren't they?
  14. I was referring to way incoming Government always blame the mess they find on the previous incumbents. It's easy to say "they didn't know how bad things really were" excuse. The fact is of the 14 years we were told the first 10 would austerity. Then came the shenanigans of Brexit followed not long after by a worldwide pandemic. Anyway, no doubt, we'll hear it all from tomorrow onwards when the new Government is formed whether it can be substantiated or not. So, as in a previous post on this subject when I was admonished by a particular individual, things will not change dramatically and our lives will not become better overnight nor in the foreseeable future.
  15. I have no doubt Labour's win will be of epic proportions. As for changing a great deal I can't see that happening as everything will be blamed on the Tories just as they did back in 2010 after that twat Byrne left his infamous note.
  16. Excellent forum in the main despite the odd twerp who thinks they know it all.
  17. Won in style and flair, not. I know a win is a win but the performance overall was diabolical.
  18. How can the "cream" of the country turn so sour?
  19. Another day, another game and another woeful display so far. Can't see the second half getting much better. May as well switch over to 'Songs of Praise'!!
  20. 3 cards in 11 minutes. We'll be lucky to see 11 on either side by the end.
  21. 4-0 to England and then we'll be thinking what was all the worry about.
  22. That's my own business!!
  23. Undoubtedly, I will.
