Feels like our scouting is minimal now, and we just looking for players who are known to be available and EPL cast off's.
-
Cue the replies that Top has done a great job and there has been no leadership change.
-
Gone through all the tier 1 threads and seems like most of our targets are from other EPL teams, seems scouting has gone to crap.
-
Last January we went as far as having a player come over for a medical only to not go ahead, so rumoured bids doesnt mean an intent to spend.

Sums up my feelings, analysing our decision making, we seem to be to often now reacting to situations, making short term decisions, then reacting to the consequences of those short term decisions as if we didnt plan to make them, and it feels like club is just firefighting right now instead of planning ahead, and making rational decisions. This is not just on player acquisitions, but also financial management, managerial decisions, and communication. On top of that we even had Enzo reveal last season that despite us having almost no money and a unsuited squad, Top being totally deluded actually asked him to make us play like Manchester City, and Enzo had to set him straight on expectations, hoping Cooper has done the same, and I expect previous managers have been fighting Tops ideology as well. There seems to be a massive over estimate of our squad's abilities from Top and a theory that these players just need the right coach to become Man City, madness. Whilst signing Huth was a master stroke at the time, I am generally not a fan of signing older players who have an average record in the EPL, Huth actually had a decent record, but some signings we have been making are really bad when you consider how good our scouting system used to be, they just feel very lazy now, like we looking for people locally transfer listed that will be easy to acquire rather than unearthed gems. Then on top of that add the incompetence in failing to get rid of the proven failures and players the manager has no interest in. What on earth were we thinking when turned Athletico's offer for Soyuncu when Rodgers had basically disowned the player, so we paid salary for a year and lost whatever that offer was worth even if it was just a few million. The obvious problem is we lack someone strong and performant at the top of the club who has a football brain, Rudkin is far too comfortable and entrenched, and I think this is contributing to bad decision again and again.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chrysalis replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
It works in our favour for the deduction to come late, the mental impact of starting on negative points, playing catch up from the get go, plus a late punishment, they may not want a deduction to trigger a relegation so deliberately set it short and so on. -

Panic signings at end of window or quality? -
Saturday 3 August v FC Augsburg pre-season friendly
Chrysalis replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tried to warn on here about selling KDH, he badly needs replacing and we are just so bad in this area right now as a club. No question we need to replace Daka as well, instead he is being played in friendlies. -
He has talent, I share the concerns over the salary. But what is really important here is how we play, this guy looks like he loves to dribble with the ball and breakthrough defences. Whilst last season and under Rodgers we loved to play tippy tappy hold ball with minimal dribbling. We dont know yet how we will play under Cooper, but if its tippy tappy, this probably wont be a good signing, square pegs in round holes and all that. If we play counter or at least attack more direct, then he has the potential to be great for us. So thats my 5 pence on the player.

Indeed, will be ignoring the tier 4 stuff now, glad mod's are doing this on our behalf.

Does look really decent, glad this is from a tier 1 source, hoping we get him.

Horrible news. RIP.

Open Training Session Tuesday 6 August
Chrysalis replied to jammie82uk's topic in Leicester City Forum
They need to run free buses taking people to watch training at the new training ground on a regular basis, as now the club have moved, the players are too isolated from the community. -
Indeed. We also seem more likely to ditch Cannon than Daka, and the manager says he needs an attacking midfielder, umm why did we sell KDH then without an immediate replacement. What's going on? I guess Rudkin panics and signs the Palace striker who scored 5 a season.
-
No issues with this.
-
Too many managers realising Rudkin is worse than they ever could imagine, cant shift dead wood to make room for incomings, and spent ages trying to sign a striker that didnt want to join.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Chrysalis replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Simple enough, ship one out, if only we had a competent DoF to do that. I would keep cannon as he hasnt been here long and barely played, Daka has had enough time to shine. -

We need a striker for sure. -
Player doesnt want to join us, the fact we have put so much effort into this is odd. I hope the club has backup options.
-
If he wasnt for sale you just say that "not for sale mate", we quoted 90m for Harry, but the not for sale price ended up been the sale price.

I hope we have another target ready to go for, as I have a feeling he doesnt want to come here.

Brilliant stuff, Counter attacking brutality with Vardy.
