I’ve said this from the outset but I think £40m is more likely. Bring in a player who is a lot better going forward and proven in Europe while Thomas goes on loan for a season until he is ready to take over as our first choice LB.

Definitely agree with this but I would throw in that if our players are being asked to put in transfer requests to get a move then clubs that are lower than us could be in the same position. I have no doubt that Tarkowski would be very interested in joining us and as he is in his late 20's, this could be his last chance for a move to a bigger club and he isn't attractive enough for bigger clubs than us.

I'm guessing we are after a winger, a striker and a centre half. We will probably have to sell Chilwell to fund one of these along with replace him. If we get £60m for Chilwell then we should pay £40m, it's the going rate for a proven CB and we would have some change to hopefully bring in a replacement LB. That means the Maguire money and this summers funds can be spent improving the rest of the squad. At the end of the day, if he had a fancy Spanish name and was at Madrid we would all be saying it was a bargain, just because he is at Burnley and English doesn't make him any less of a player but the fans seem to want an exciting exotic signing for some reason, who could prove to be a flop - as we have seen when we splash the cash.

£30m plus add ons wouldn't be so bad if we plan on 3 at the back next season. His stats are good enough for a top 6 side.

I’m more worried about what Brendan has got massively wrong recently. Bringing Maddison on when not back to fully fit against Everton when the game was gone at 2-0 was a big mistake. The negative sub against Bournemouth was a massive mistake. Playing 3 slow centre halves vs a proven counter attacking team was poor research. The form is awful and we should all be very worried that this will carry into next season.

I'm not saying it is but Spurs have been scoring counter attacking goals recently, to set up 3 at the back with the slowest centre halves in the league is pretty stupid when we don't necessarily have to win this, was silly. Hindsight, sure.

Cup final this. Win it and the pressure is off a bit knowing a draw on the final day will be enough. Let's leave everything on the pitch!

I don’t know how I feel about the FA Cup this year. For years growing up I dreamed of winning it, thinking that is the best thing we ever had a chance of winning, plus Coventry wouldn’t have one up on us. Unfortunately if we were to win it behind closed doors then I would be gutted, hence I’m not sure if I want us to win it. Sure, that’s mad not wanting your team to win a trophy, but the thought of Leicester winning the cup and not being able to go and celebrate it would really taint it for me. I’m still in two minds, either way we need to put in a performance today to show that we are not a team that falls apart under pressure like we have done a few times in recent seasons.

BIG GAME... Win and we could go on a run which should result in a CL spot and a place at Wembley. Lose and the season could fall apart very quickly. Have no idea how this is going to go.
