  1. These players should not forget the supporters are their bread and butter. Distance yourself from the fans and turn them against you and you are on a slippery slope. The majority of last season’s team did little to endear themselves either in their effort, their displays or their arrogant attitude towards the club and its supporters. I’ve been a supporter for 70 years and have never known it as bad as last season and there have been some pretty lean times. The difference is those players gave their all on the pitch, the problem is they weren’t very good but nobody could criticise their commitment. The same could not be said about this current crop. You only had to observe the body language during and after the match. Things need to change.
  2. There is talent in Fatawu but it will not develop at Leicester unless there is a distinct change in culture at the club and that culture needs to change all the way through. Over the past few years our approach to game management, fitness levels, strategy and most importantly in my mind commitment and application have been abysmal and Fatawu has suffered as a consequence. When Tielmanns was with us it was plain to see he was overweight and unfit, as were many of the players. Do we necessarily blame him. As a professional yes but there is more to it than that. He went to Villa and within months he was playing and being effective in their first team, looking slimmer and fitter. For a long time now Fatawu's body language has said that he feels no commitment to club or fans. He has faded in the last quarter of the game and provided nothing of any value. It looks like he has given up and just wants away. Given proper training he could be a great asset but likewise he could just drift into obscurity. He could go either way.
  3. Jordan James shone in a poor team and showed what quality he had. If Fatawu were that good he too would have stood out but he was just as poor as those around him. He clearly had talent but for a professional footballer his attitude was as poor as the rest and his heart was elsewhere certainly not at LCFC. Get rid.
  4. Claridge and Marshall, two of the scruffiest individuals to wear a City shirt but that lot last season weren't fit to lace their boots. Wish we had them now.
  5. October.............."Should have waited and got the right manager in"
  6. We are going to need to be much fitter if we are to survive in this league. I have been appalled over the past few seasons by how many of our players just are not fit for the full 90 minutes. There has been a dramatic turnaround in Tielemanns since he went to Villa. For the first few months he didn't play, presumably because the larda**e was not fit enough. To my eyes the whole setup at City is rotten to the core and it is little wonder we have been relegated. How can you go 3-0 up against a team which finished winning it 4-3 with 10 men!!! An absolute disgrace.
  7. Please, please let this be true.
  8. The ground he made up for his goal was impressive and something we have never seen from any of our players for the past two seasons. If not him I would like somebody like him who has the same drive, purpose and determination to get forward and latch onto balls like that. He had a superb game all round.
  9. As midfielder who gets forward and scores goals? And keeps passing the ball forward? What’s that all about? It’ll never catch on!! 😂 Can you imagine our scouting team being one bit interested? He is just the sort of player the team and the fans need to inject a bit of excitement instead of the turgid crap which has been inflicted on us of late.
  10. From his body language it seems his head has been turned and he is thinking about elsewhere. He does not display the verve and enthiasm you normally see from young players of his age. It's a pity because he obviously has talent and could be a very exciting player in the future but there's a long way to go yet and many pitfalls to overcome.
  11. But we are talking LCFC here.
  12. A team that will long be remembered.
  13. He's got pace and can beat a man but his decision making is pretty woeful. Judging by his body language he has already decided he won't be at City next season which is fair enough but I would expect full commitment from him until that time. Going through the motions is not an option. When we lose he just looks totally indifferent.
  14. But that doesn't wind our crowd up half as much as getting the ball to the bye line then passing it back to the half way line or the goalminder (def not a keeper!) passing the ball to one of their forwards or our defence totally clueless what to do with it and end up losing it. How will we cope if they start getting the ball into their net instead of ours.
  15. Absolutely. He had them training in Bradgate Park in the snow running up and down to Old John. He had a sandhill built for them to run up and took them to the seaside to train on soft sand. None of your Seagrave nonsense and those lads could play a full 90 minutes without the need for a drinks break.
  16. What do we want? Let's start off with somebody who can pick up talent hungry enough to want to be here and has energy and skill A fitness coach who.............well, simply gets them fit to play a full 90 minutes of energetic football A set piece coach with ideas to challenge the opposition A manager with personality who can inspire not only the team but the supporters and everybody associated with the club And finally a squad of players we can be proud to be associated with. Is that really too much to ask for? After 5 years of absolute dross at all levels it's the least we deserve.
  17. In common with a lot of them he’s far too casual, lacks urgency or commitment, just happy to pick up his wages and not bothered whether we win or lose. This disease runs right through this club and for the genuine supporters it hurts.
  18. Put them out there. You got us in this mess now get us out and if you don't you're the ones who can face the fans. Seems fair enough to me. This situation is not on the backs of the younger players who will hopefully form the backbone of the team next season.
  19. I want Wicks on the bench. I want him sat at pitch side to see and hear what we think of him. I don’t want him sat cosily in the stands having a drink and hoping nobody notices him. I want to see him getting full pelters at full time then he can get changed and drive his sulking little way back down the M1. Make him wear the shirt he has so little respect for and face the fans he despises. I never want to see him playing for us again.
  20. Bearing in mind the lack of discipline and professionalism shown by him, and Choudhury, both should be dropped. Let's face it neither will be missed. I'd rather see Page playing than Winks. Put him on the bench, give him the inconvenience of having to turn up, changing, sitting on the bench and then having to change back without getting on the pitch before the long, pointless drive home. Inconvenience him and hopefully we will never see him again.
  21. The atmosphere is so toxic on and off the field that you should ask if it is fair to throw our younger players into it. It is not necessarily the start to their first team career they should be having even if they are good enough. After promising starts Monga and Mukasa have been disappointing. I would rather keep them positive for next season since we will be needing them. By all means drop those who are not pulling their weight but who do you put in. You're as bad burnt as scolded. The whole shebang needs ditching and we start again.
  22. In fairness to him I can't think of anybody who would get a tune out of this toxic squad. I don't know how they sleep at night bearing in mind the way they are fleecing the life out of LCFC.
  23. I hope someone soon puts us out of our misery sometime soon and we get our relegation confirmed. This season has been an absolute shitshow all along with few positives. It runs right through the club from those at the top, through the coaching staff, the trainers, poor managers but most of all through the players who should have done better but made it clear they were happy to pick up exorbitant wages and dish up half hearted displays knowing they would not be here next season. Apart from a few I cannot tell you how much I absolutely loathe this group these mercenaries fleecing the life out of the club I have followed for the past 70 years. I just want them out of my club and I don't care where they go. On a more positive note at least we will be rid of the glory boys who jumped on the bandwagon when we started winning in the Prem. Where were they when we were crap? Hopefully it will also see an end to the lottery imposed by the club on getting a ticket to watch them since I feel sure there will be plenty of seats empty in Lge1 and they'll be grateful to fill them. I suppose anyone will be able to get a ticket. I'll think about it.............
  24. Looked like Ayew and Fatawu totally ignoring the abuse and having a great chat together. Total lack of respect for those who had spent a lot of money to follow them and deserved better. Was that Winks on the far side of the pitch?
