Doesn't look bad to me - two legs, plenty of tricks, has pace, knows which goal he's attacking and that's the direction he goes, sturdily built and not sat on his backside every time anyone comes near him, pleading for a free kick!!! I'm just hoping we sign players with a bit of flair who can bring excitement after the turgid displays we have endured for the past 18 months...............please!!

Last year we needed to get rid of some of our dead wood but they were on such high wages nobody would touch them. Relegation means our wage bill needs to be reduced. I don't know what Coady will be earning but if he helps to get us promoted then I don't mind and if he performs well in the Prem, no matter his age, then he will have earned whatever his contract says. Unfortunately our experiences with the likes of Bertrand and Vestergard have soured the waters and made us suspicious. We need some imaginative signings such as we had with Fuchs, Wes and Huth who will revitalise a team of deadlegs who thought they were better than they were and were happy to enjoy the delights of the Fun Palace at Seagrave. If there are any who don't feel dedicated to the cause, and I don't care who they are, they should go and we start afresh. There are plenty who would relish turning out for us and would play their hearts out. It's just a matter of finding the right ones.

I am hoping Coady, Winks and any others who come will show more passion and determination than what we have experienced over the past 18 months or so. If they do it will be like a breath of fresh air because the football we have been watching has been shambolic and turgid. I'm not sorry to see he who dribbles round in circles before falling over and then sits on his backside waving his arms at the ref (no names, no pack drill but you know who I mean) has gone,neither will I miss the rest whose half-hearted efforts led to our decline. So far I have not been disappointed with our acquisitions for the money we have paid. From all that I have read Coady will add that extra bit of steel to our defence and show a bit of leadership.

I hope the club gets rid of anybody who is not committed. There seems to be a group at the club who have been unsettled for a while now and this has been reflected on the pitch. It's a long time since we looked as if we were playing as a team, working for each other, showing commitment and determination. Much of the time we looked unfit and bore a couldn't care less "we are too good to be relegated" attitude. I am hoping Maresca stamps this out straight away and if there is anybody who doesn't want to buy into his regime then they can go, shut the door on your way out. Personally I am fed up of watching these half-arsed performances from players who can do much better, players who are current internationals. Seagrave hasn't made the team any better than it was at Belvoir Drive despite its wonderful facilities and our injury list has never been worse. I also have grave misgivings about Sadler and Stowell, coaches whose job it is to motivate and sort out the problems. Why have they been so ineffectual - too easy going, restricted by Rodgers' philosophy of turgid, tippy-tappy football around the back four because they didn't know what else to do with it? Hopefully this is the dawn of a new era inspired by young, hungry lads with talent who will be fit as butchers' dogs and fully committed to energetic, exciting football. Moreover they will be proud to put on the LCFC shirt. Achieve that and the rest will follow.

If we're not signing anybody, rather than persevere with some of our deadwood perhaps it's time to start giving some of our Academy players more of a chance. Include them on the bench and use them. Players like Braybrook are shining for the U23s and I would much rather see him being used rather than someone warming the bench who will not be with us next year.

Personally I think we look livelier when Praet comes on and I would start him over Tielemans. And I am beginning to wonder how much longer we can play Ndidi over Mendy.

I liked their right winger Tamari. He caused us a few problems.

I thought Mendy had a good game today, much better than we have seen from Ndidi over the past few weeks. He seemed to be involved in most everything we did. Impressive performance.

Only what I have seen on YouTube but if they are his best then I feel left to be convinced. So what AM I missing? Even Kaebi's highlights looked better.
