Players that are leaving or should be leaving in the summer of '26
oldbluefox replied to MC Prussian's topic in Transfer Talk
Rodgers -
There will be two vital appointments to be made - manager and director of scouting. Get those right and there would be cause for optimism.
-
And the linesman doesn't count either!!! Still not as bad as Tielemanns ambling back to defence and being overtaken by the f***ing referee!!!! Another example of how far we have declined with players who are totally unfit.
-
I think this is the way to go. The main priority will be to rid the club of the toxic mercenaries on high wages who have fleeced the club and brought about its demise and that includes backstage class earning a living for doing precisely nothing. Get rid of the dross and then build around what is left with free agents with something to prove. I have accepted we are never going to escape relegation with this lot and must move forward next season with what few resources we have. Whether Top hangs on or not Rudkin needs to go considering his role in our downfall. Just do it Top!!!

I actually have fond memories of the time we were last in League One - you could get a ticket easily, home or away, good banter with opposition fans, tickets were cheaper, some great pies and pasties in the ground and best of all we had a team that played with passion and desire. It's better than the dross we are being served up with now. And yes I feel the pain of relegation as much as anyone and can't wait to see the back of the mercenary parasites making a living out of our club and have no shame in putting in half hearted performances such as we saw today.

This. Hopefully we see the back of the plastic fans who jumped on the bandwagon 10 years ago. Unfortunately the damage has been done by the club deciding they would do away with general attendance tickets leaving those who live many miles away with little hope of watching them, home or away. Maybe that is progress but after following City for over 70 years it will never be the same as far as I'm concerned. Shame that a passion for a football club could so easily be extinguished but the bunch of overpaid mercenaries who deign to grace us with their presence on the pitch are just symptomatic of the culture which has been allowed to develop around this club.

How many times do we get a free kick in a good position, take ages to decide who’s taking it, think about tactics then it either goes straight into the keeper’s hands or it’s overhit and goes out for a goal kick. Is it asking too much of a professional footballer to be able to put the ball on the right spot to give the attack something to go for. It seems every other team can do it so what’s the problem with us.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
oldbluefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The way he moves I think they already have. -
Can’t be any worse than Ayew. In fact watching the England women half of those would be better than Ayew.
-
He’s a victim of tippy tappy football we’re not good enough to play.

Stoke (A) 21/02/26: Pre-Match Thread
oldbluefox replied to FoxesTalker's topic in Leicester City Forum
I just hope Thomas and Ayew are not in the team. Thomas is so weak and Ayew has yet to win a ball in the air. He can’t be bothered to jump and spends most of his time on his backside pleading for a foul. Not ideal but I’d rather have VK and Daka. At least there’s some effort and aggression. -
You'll struggle to get a tune out of a broken fiddle. But good luck to him. He'll need it. If he gets them fit that'll be a start.

Realistic Managerial Replacements
oldbluefox replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Mark Hughes doing a decent job at Carlisle. Just saying….. -
If he can run 5yds without falling on his backside he’s better than Ayew.
-
I for one am fed up seeing him on his arse on the ground with his arms in the air. I'm fed up seeing him lose every ball in the air. He provides nothing to the team and his place in the No9 shirt needs to be cut short. I'd rather play Vestergaard up front. At least we would have some aerial presence. It's painful to watch someone who adds nothing to the team.

Divine Mukasa from Manchester City (loan, official.)
oldbluefox replied to DZ-LCFC's topic in Transfer Talk
Let's face it, Ayew and Daka are a waste of a place in the team. We need somebody to fill that gap and we're going to need somebody we can afford who is willing to come to us. We are not a particularly attractive propositionat the moment. If Aribo does come I trust he will be better than either of our present incumbents. Surely you cannot be more ineffective. Every week I seem to see other teams with strikers I have never heard of doing a better job. Couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag - no threat on the ground and none in the air, we desperately need someone and if it has to be Aribo I hope it works out. Just because he's crap at one club doesn't necessarily mean he can't do a job at another. -

Not in their squad today whatever that means. -
Jamaal Lascelles joins on 6 month deal (official.)
oldbluefox replied to Burbagefox89's topic in Transfer Talk
Well I’ve had it all wrong. I thought that was what defenders were supposed to be doing. Perhaps somebody should be telling our ‘defenders’ cos that’s where they’ve been going wrong. -
You called?
-
He’s not okay. We need somebody who is a threat in the penalty area and you can’t do that if you’ve wandered out to the wing or spend half your time on your arse.
-
Pressure is really getting to them 😂
oldbluefox replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I bet they don’t feel any pressure when they pick up their wages. I don’t think they should be feeling pressure it should be embarrassment. -
Charlton (H) Protest Saturday 31st January 12:30KO
oldbluefox replied to 1884HF's topic in Leicester City Forum
Stay in the concourse until the 16th minute. It was in 2016 when we won the Prem. You may get more taking part than staying away or walking out. -
Get used to it. Nothing will happen until the last day and then likely nothing will happen followed the next day by all the excuses for who we had tried to sign. It’s the Leicester way and happens every year. Meanwhile everybody else is going about the business of strengthening their squads.

Looks better than Patson
-
So far he’s not had a transfer window so it will be interesting to see what happens there, presumably if he is given funds to play with. I certainly think there has been a shift in tactics and culture since half time in the Sheffield United match. Whether that’s been player driven or managerial who knows but we look a different team altogether.
