Realistic Managerial Replacements
oldbluefox replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd like us to appoint a hard, ugly b****r to shake the whole lot out of this torpor and instil some fight and passion. -
Kristiansen came off injured so not sure what else he could have done. It wasn't exactly a tactical change.
-
This lot need putting in a bag and shaking up!! I get the impression past managers have been too gentle. I doubt Pearson would accept their performances.
-
Whilst we are at it we should be looking at the coaches who are supposedly dictating skills and tactics. Not forgetting our scouts who have recommended the dross who have been draining money out of the club and putting little in. Meanwhile I look at clubs much smaller than ours like Bournemouth who play attractive football, sell players and unearth more gems to fill their places. And all on smaller attendance figures than ours.

Fair dues to Cifuentes. He must have been just as brassed off with that performance as the rest of us to the extent he gathered up the players, no slinking away up the tunnel. "After such an inept performance you can go around the stadium and can see and hear what the supporters think of that performance. And if you get booed and abuse it's no more than you deserve so shift your backsides and face those who have spent hard earned cash to put up with the crap you are presenting them with". (Or words similar!!!)

Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November

I remember Steve Walsh being pushed up front on many occasions and he was a decent defender as well. He scored a fair few crucial goals as well. -

Bring Nelson in and put Faes in the striking position. He wouldn't be making any howlers in defence and could create havoc in the opposition penalty area rather than ours Let's face it the others have been total flops for some time now. -
He was absolutely right. In possession we are so slow in moving the ball the opposition have time to get men back and defenders in place. Out of possession there is little fight and aggression to get the ball back. We cruise along at half speed with little passion or determination. Is it the players or coaching which is the problem. I suggest both.

Blackburn (H) Sat 1 Nov @12:30, pre-match
oldbluefox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Be handy if they fed the ball through 😂 But it's not just Daka. I've seen others make a run only for the move yet again to break down from a promising position. -
Clear cut scoring chances are like hens teeth for him so he is feeding on scraps. We need to be creating scoring chances for him to stand any chance. When he does get an opportunity he must be so surprised he fluffs it

If I was a forward I'd be absolutely peed off. The number of times I see a run into space to create an attacking move only to see the ball played sidewards, or worse still back again and the chance has gone. In that respect I sympathise with Daka, useless though he is but he must sometimes wonder why bother. If you don't feed the ball through into attacking positions you're not going to score. -
Looks like that's £20million we are going to save, We are a mess.

Had my heart in my mouth every time he got it. Defensively he looked a liability, all over everywhere.

I thought Hamza was all over everywhere and looked a liability.

LCFC 1-1 Portsmouth - Post Match Thread

Why did nobody cotton on that so many crosses were being overhit that not one of them hung back to get on the end of them. How many chances were lost through overhit crosses. These are professional footballers ffs. -
Looks a lively proposition.

I suppose if they can find footage of similar tackles which were only punished with a yellow card they could appeal that the straight red was harsh considering the lack of intent. It was a late tackle and he clearly took the other lad out. However he wasn't injured as a consequence but I feel the ref was influenced by the reaction of the Oxford players and the home crowd which could have swayed his decision. Worth a try I suppose.

Oxford (A) | Sat 13-Sept | 12:30 KO | Sky
oldbluefox replied to Foxes96's topic in Leicester City Forum
Will that be with salt and vinegar? 😂 Shows how far we have regressed if we now fear Oxford however good they might be. Not so long ago we were playing top European teams. We need to get our act together but with our new signings we can start the long road back. -
Only insofar as when he came on in the 90th minute Stevie Claridge got the frights and shinned us the winning goal. 😂😂😂
-
Was Ward any worse than Spider Kalac? It's a close call.
-
Not bothered who they are, just someone who poses a threat on goal as opposed to the dallying about we have seen so far. Once Vardy lost his pace we have hardly been an effective force around the penalty area.
-
I'll be just as happy with somebody who knows where the back of the net is and can put the ball there. It's not asking a lot.

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

I didn't say we terminate his contract. -

So if he is so unhappy why not terminate his contract, declare himself a free agent and find another club. With an attitude like his I don't want to see him playing. Bring in someone who is committed.
