Harborough aren't being financed by a solo benefactor. Seems to be a joint effort. The function room brings in a fair amount too. It's very well organised. Next season will be a big test though.

I think that's 3 promotions in 5 years. Will need to bring in a few new players, a prolific goalscorer would be great & another central defender or 2. Loads more travelling involved next season, so we'll see how that effects things. They did beat Worksop 3-2 & Peterborough Sports 4-1 from the NLN in the FA Trophy this season & took Altrincham (National League) to an FA cup replay.....so they've had a sniff of the standard higher up. Exciting times !

Hopefully some of the local non-league sides attract a few disillusioned ex-ST holders. Plenty of decent clubs about. Player's seem to care & have a connection with the fans, decent cheaper food & beer too !

Went to Halesowen to watch Harborough. Fairly comfortable 3-1 win. A bit of trouble post game, local lads looking for a scrap. Nearly 1,900 watching, 300 from Harborough.

Yes, they play on an artificial pitch (seems to be getting more common). They could expand the ground, but could be limited on 2 sides. Currently holds about 2,000, need to up that to 3,000 if promoted, which looks likely, plus minor alterations, which l believe they are allowed time to complete (not just a summer rush job). They have good backing, not just from 1 person, have a nice clubhouse & a function room that is frequently used for weddings, parties etc. They are an ambitious club, but are aware of the pitfalls of how clubs can fall away etc.
