What a load of bollocks. The cynic in me feels that it’s a desperate attempt to generate a fear that “only the tories can quash” and swing back lost votes ahead of an election that they’ll get hammered in if they don’t do something desperate.

The year after we won the league I used to love walking down towards the ground and seeing the big long champions banner hanging from the side near the family stand. You could see it from the top of the road as you turned the corner. Would be great if we replaced it with one of Wes lifting the trophy.

If it wasn’t for some poor refereeing and terrible finishing that would have been one of the most comfortable victories of the season.

Sublime assist from Daka, Vestergaard has been superb. Need to make those final balls and through balls count. The officials are cvnts.

I’m not that far in yet but it is certainly bleak, the writing really evokes feelings positive and negative towards the characters, and the scenes set are grim.

Listening to this audio book on BorrowBox. Really enjoying it so far, the author sets the scene and develops the characters wonderfully in a poverty ridden Glasgow broken by thatcher.

Wouldn’t this come down to the catering company they use, compass I think it is. Also I take it the advertised abv on the menu boards isnt 2.8%. If so would it give the club reason to get rid of the shit caterers and set something decent up in replacement?

The first ten minutes of the second half wednesday came out the traps and tried to apply pressure, watching how we eventually managed to slow and kill their momentum by winning and keeping the ball was great to watch, along with the work rate (especially Mav and Fats) to win it back.

Agree, my daughter is coached to play like this, to be technically good in tight areas and play through the press. I think they’d rather them play like this and make mistakes instead of panicking and booting it long, giving away possession repeatedly.

This, inform clubs over the summer of what will and won’t be tolerated and enforce them from the first whistle of the season. There may well be a flurry of red and yellow cards the first couple of games but it will soon change when clubs are missing players through suspension and managers start to insist they behave.

They did this some years back but it seemed to get forgot about halfway through the season and refs just stopped doing it. I agree though, however I’d make the slight alteration that the ball can be moved forward up to 10 yards. For example moving the ball forward from 28 yards to 18 from the goal may not be such an advantage for the free kick taker being so close, so if the player chooses he can bring it forward just 5 yards for example to 23 and giving him a better chance of getting the ball up and down over the wall.

Sounds good in principle until you get rat face fernandez chasing and harassing the ref all game with no punishment only for the ref to then blue cards winks the first time he questions a decision.

I don’t want to put the cat among the pigeons, and I can’t remember which game it was, but Enzo was clearly heard shouting forward earlier in the season.

I was talking to a stoke season ticket holder last week, he wasn’t looking forward to yesterdays game , but he said that the atmosphere isn’t anything like it used to be, really lacklustre, they get about 22k but everyone tends to sit back up in the stands so it always looks empty on tv.

Think the club is being a bit risqué with it’s cryptic clues

I really want him to come good but some people are so desperate for him to be good that he gets away with some awful performances. I’m absolutely not having him winning the penalty as a good thing he did. He was clean through, I mean running clear of the defenders, then somehow managed to **** it all up and get away with it by getting a very fortunate penalty. If that was awarded against us we’d be fuming. Then there’s the poor control and misplaced passes and missing absolute sitters. I’d swear half of his assists for us are miss hit shots. Nothing would make me happier than being proven wrong on him but he should be working hard to improve the weaker aspects of his game if he wants to make it here, Cannon and has to start ahead of him. Please prove me wrong Daka.

They used to play the goal horn at the KP when we scored not so long back.

Remember that, My brother was a liverpool fan and had got a new ghetto blaster for Christmas, after that second goal it got turned off and he stormed upstairs. My mum has to quickly scramble to get her wireless on. The goal horn certainly was magical. The start it gave you and the rush of excitement you’d get when it suddenly interrupted a song or burst out the radio was fantastic.

This, I’m a season ticket holder but haven’t got a ticket for the cup match next week as my daughter has a game in birmingham. There’s a chance I’ll be back just in time for the kick off however won’t be going as I won’t get a ticket just in case things drag on at her match and as I understand it I can’t rock up at the stadium and buy a ticket for us all on match day. Well done the Trust and UFS on forcing change though, maybe the next step could be a physical ticket office for walk ups. They can still get the details they want and set up an account if they really need at the point of purchase.
