  1. They’d be right.
  2. With cooper it was play awful but scrape results, Rudy so far is perform well but lose. Either it is going to click for us or we are simply too open in this style. I’m not sure which it is right now
  3. We do not deserve to lose this. We look good and need to build some momentum along with the positive impetus today
  4. Will Hughes looks like someone who’s spent the last 25 years working down a mine.
  5. But who is coming in to be primarily a number 2 that is going to be much better than Jakob or iversen? I highly doubt we’d get much of an upgrade.
  6. Depends what division we are in surely? Iversen and Jakob both more than capable in the championship.
  7. This is such a myth.
  8. Jakob is fine imo.
  9. Which striker smashing it in an obscure league, will we pay massively over the odds for, arrive and look like they’ve not seen grass before?
  10. “Walsh also recommended Hull duo Andy Robertson and Harry Maguire for a combined £20 million and teenage Norwegian striker Erling Haaland for €4 million; Everton rejected the trio, whose values soared years later.[8] “ see I didnt make it up! Get him back please!
  11. Odd take from a Leicester fan. It was pretty clear our glory days came from the combination of personalities and allowed a continuation of something good we’d been building despite a change of head coach.
  12. What’s most disheartening for me, is that Steve Walsh had to leave because Ruskin was in this role. After the title win, we should have built the club around Walsh and his ideas. I still think he’d be welcomed into that role if we ever did get rid of Rudkin. I remember hearing how when he arrived at Everton as DOF he tried to sign so many players that went on to big things (possibly even a very young Haaland if my memory is correct) but the owner wouldn’t have it. Basically didn’t allow him control and pushed players on him before making him the scape goat. He never got the shot he deserved in England really and I believe he’s out in Carolina now.
  13. It really shows the disparity in our recruitment now to under Walsh. Our ex strikers under Walsh are phenomenal, vardy, Kane, wood, kramaric, Leo, Shinji. All outstanding signings even if they didn’t reach the potential with us… it’s still a good eye for talent
  14. All this proves to me, is that after we not the league, we should have never changed our style. You don’t beat the big boys by mimicking them.
  15. I’ve not heard of Romero before? Any good?
  16. So for psr reasons, sell him for 7 and we have 2.5m in the book which we could use to sign some one on a 3/4 year deal giving us roughly the same we can spend on someone else? So who exactly could we get for that sort of fee that’s prem standard…. Can’t make the math make sense on this one. his value isn’t dropping , sell him in the summer when we know our fate.
  17. If we are going for a cb they need to be vastly better than what we have, Mings is not enough of an upgrade (if any) on any of our options. I don’t think our cbs are actually awful, they are just bang average and when you’re fighting relegation you need at least one very good cb to have a chance. There’s value out there we just need to get it right. Our problem is that the whole back four are average or below average and as a collective aren’t good enough to stay in the league. 2 good upgrades and a fit again mads and we would look so much stronger as a team.
  18. Might be the cheaper and easier deal and let’s be honest, it’s his level he would repeat what he did at Celtic in that league
  19. This is absolutely the move to make! I don’t think we are brave enough as a club to make a signing like this any more though. villa will get more for him then we get for cannon
  20. I don’t actually think that’s true. It’s the same stuff that was spouted about Kasper. A young footballer who’s proving to be too good for the championship always gets valued around that price. Fans might have more of a hype for him but I actually think he’s going to be a very good footballer in his own right.
  21. 7m seems a terrible deal to me. Leave him at stoke.
  22. It won’t though because of the all the back door deals that go on and allowing the sale of assets. I honestly don’t think you’ll see another club punished after this because the loop holes have been found. For whatever reason, we didn’t exploit any. after the deals with spurs recently it would have been fairly simple to say we will pay 24 m for skip if you take wormLeighton for 2m or something like that.
  23. Big window for him now, he will be needed next year so getting a good loan is imperative. Mid table league 1 or top league 2 clubs to guarantee minutes for me! I don’t think a relegation scrap in league 1 is the most nurturing experience. league 2 didn’t harm Nelson
  24. How stupid is Rudkin? He actually finds new ways to show his incompetence. Rather than trying to get a good deal for him now, he thinks it’s a good idea to inform the player and his agent that he can go for half price in the summer!!!! That literally guarantees that the interested clubs are told to wait it out and get a deal. dumb dumb dumb
