The idea is you’re signing a player who is too good for the championship. so they will always be too good for the championship but get it right and they will be good enough for the prem. Plenty of examples of players like this, more so in recent times than ever before. With the way scouting works these days, plenty of gems arrive in the championship. It’s not just players that had a chance at bigger clubs and slipped down like the days past.
