Worst Refereeing Decision Made Against Us?
Lambert09 replied to Bert's topic in Leicester City Forum
Jon motsons decisions in the west ham game, the year we won the league, were some of the weirdest I’ve ever experienced. That game genuinely felt like he was trying to derail us. Yet, we did get that last minute penalty so it might just be that he’s absolutely abysmal at reffing. -
It’s time isn’t it. But who in their right mind would buy us now

Looked as good as farawu last season, could be a huge signing for them. While we try to win games with Ayew. southampton and ourselves are gone

We never seem to revisit these players when they hit a bit of a bad patch. We just wont take the risk. Chased Deketalare for a whole year, he ended up at AC, stumbled and yet we didnt think to revisit and pick up a loan when we could. Hes done pretty well since. Same with Trincao, who I genuinely think made a lot of sense post wolves. We target these young enigmas but dont seem to factor in they are still learning and wont always smash it from the get go. I dont think Soule would come here after the comments he made about the club in the summer anyway. But the question for me, is how can we be so sure of the scouting that in all 3 cases we considered around 30m but then arent interested when theyre availble in 6 months ... clearly not scouting thoroughly, because if we had, even if they dont set the league alight at their new clubs wed still be confident in their ability. It tells me that we look at the basic stats available at the time and dont put consideration into variables. We wont get anywhere like that imo, there are so many players that obviously have the ability but just arent doing it in that moment. Id like to think scouts are less thickle than fans

about a week before the window shuts an exciting name will be released by percy. We all get our hopes up. The player, who was never interested to begin with will not join and we will call up our usual agent friends and ask whos available. We will end up taking someone incredibly random that we wont be happy about.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Surely not -
Trumps postering towards taking over Canada, greenland and the panama canal is some seriously scary stuff. He's being serious and im not sure people are taking it as seriously as they should be. When asked about Greenland, he said that Denmark should give it to them, because they want it.

A club thats forward thinking and preparing for Kerkez's departure early. This is how you avoid a last minute scramble for someone like Faes!

Is he safe for the season? Or do you think Top would roll the dice again if thinks dont start to turn around? -
Not now they have oreily. I’m actually fairly certain he goes to Fulham as Andreas is supposedly leaving for palmeires

Dutch under 21 cm, clubs queuing up for him, we own him at our sister club. 13m no thank you! Unwanted premier league squad player from another team, injury prone, lose our best player in the process, 4m less? Absolute no brainer! Rudkinomics in full force

Our Average wage in 2022 was £85k pw that’s outrageous. might sound outlandish but you have vardy; madison, youri, Evan’s, wilf, Barnes and others well north of 100k. And the people you expect on low wages like Thomas and hamza on at least 60k Bournemouths was 50k (they had only just been promoted) Ours is currently 2024 £64k pw, Bournemouth’s is £55k pw obviously these numbers can only be taken with a pinch of salt but they paint a picture, we’ve got some very large contracts and vastly over pay fringe players and youth players.

Wages wages wages. We created an unsustainable wage structure unless you reached Europe each season and sold a player for mega bucks. One slip and you’re in a huge deficit. managing the straight profit or loss on transfer fees is easy. It’s the agent fees and wages that weigh everything down. At this moment in time, our wage bill is supposedly back in line but all the issues that we are currently dealing with are from the previous campaigns and the fact the championship revenue figures are now being included

One gets Luiz, the other gets faes. Everyone’s a winner

Just copy and paste this every January

How would you feel if Forest won the league and could it happen?
Lambert09 replied to Walshy5's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s hard to judge that sort of thing though as they have improved in the last month or so drastically. (They were obviously already doing well) but they definitely look more of the real deal now than some of the scrappy wins early on. -
cmon now, use your heads. We arent getting him for free and we have a limited budget. No matte how good he is, he plays in the position that would be bottom of our priorities right now. If we spent 13m on this kid and couldnt get a striker, rb or cb in the door ... we'd literally be fuming at the close of window.

They all remember that game in 2019. Which was comfortably his best game for us, the optimism for how good he could be was set that day for me. (Also that was barnes first goal and what a rocket it was)

I have a theory on Rudkin and it’s actually to do with the “tough negotiator” tagline. I think that he found success by being exactly that, a tough negotiatior. We got people for bargain fees. we refused to sell without pulling down the pants of the people buying… it was glorious. But that actually had a huge ripple effect. Players agents realised that we would be a tough club to leave as we’d demand a lot of money and that led to increased wage demands. The stars got paid what we needed to keep them which then largely inflated everything, to the point where players like hamza choudhury could demand a huge wage. Not only that, clubs and agents got wise to his hard line. Clubs retaliate and if they know you tow a hardline, they also refuse to drop fees for you. our reputation grew as a club that would pay over the odds and that leads to clubs demanding it. what happened with palace is an example of this, we knock on the door for ayew, ordinarily they’d have probably let him got for a pittance… similar to how we let kasper leave… but because of rudkins reputation, they pushed for a high fee and as soon as they knew how interested we were, they stayed firm. If you want to be a tough negotiator that’s fine, but people will react to that. Football is analyzed in all aspects, you’d be ignorant to think clubs don’t research how clubs negotiate. That’s partly why it’s important to keep things fresh. Spurs literally just did exactly what they did with winks, again with skipp because they knew how we operated. they’d say he’s worth 30m rudkin would get it down to 23m and think he’s won. Meanwhile levy has a notebook saying sell skipp for 10m.

So sunderland will sell Bellingham for 22 and get le fee for maybe 10? Great business by them. Surely a matter of time until they come back up.
