in his defence, he’s had a lot to do. We’ve been boxed in in every game we’ve played for large parts of the game, or stretching to chase a game to get back in it. He’s done more defending in this handful of games than most teams will do in half a season. I think it would be a bit harsh to say he’s not good enough in that regard when we’ve somehow not rolled over in a game yet. I’m not necessarily saying he’s played well but I think a different team approach would have made him look a lot better. If you spend 80% of game scrapping to survive you are going to make a fair share of gaffs

I don’t think Justin has been half as bad as people have made out. Defensively he’s actually done just fine. I understand the frustration with the side at the moment but i’d say Justin is the least of our issues. Of course ai agree Ricardo should be starting but i’d be saying that about just about anyone in the squad so it’s not exactly justin’s fault.

I think it will be more on Nelson to prove he’s worth it when given the chance. It’s harder for defenders tbh because it’s not like he can get in and suddenly score a goal and be noticed, so many external factors. Typically though, a manager getting results won’t change their back line. When you’ve got someone like Ian Maatson not being able to get more than 10 minutes at villa you can see the challenge to break into a settled side.

yep, it’s a misconception that a former youth coach will give youth a chance. He was just using what he could when in that job. He’s the worst kind of manager for a club like us. Only wants proven experience, just wants to snatch and grab results and just personifies little old leicester. we don’t want to be little old leicester, we want ambition, effort and character that’s all we ask for. Currently we are getting effort… but that ware’s thin when you keep loosing and will drop off.

It is another example of how we don’t learn though. We are just incredibly bad at judging when a players stock is high. After hamza went to watford, clubs wanted him for 6-7m. Southampton and leeds both with interest. Hamza was very helpful for us but his stock will be lower now and he walks on a free. We could have easily cashed in and still been promoted. But this most resembles the iversen situation, iversen went to preston was their best player. We had good, pure profit offers on the table for what I heard was close to 5 mill but apparently we took a stance of it had to be at least 5m…. palace (and whoever else) told us to jog on and now he’s worth maybe a mill but nobody can pay his wages.
