Will they get promoted though? That’s a mighty big gamble is the deal is naff other than that. Do we gamble failing a future psr on their success? Burnley just got Edwards on a similar deal it’s not like sunderland are clearly going to achieve promotion
-
Actually I think bednarek is the most likely

How can you be similar to zirkzee and Danny welbeck but then Griezmann at the same time

Did you not see ours: Lcfc.com/123696959 As we enter February, we would like to share our approach to the window during the last month. “We approached the summer transfer window with a plan to bring in top players with an expectation that we would sell our best player. During that period, we ended up bringing in seven new players over the age of 30 and a manager who would only work with a player if they were alive when queen played live at wembley.” “This meant that we began the season with a larger squad than we would ideally operate with and, consequently, there have been fewer opportunities for good players than there might have been otherwise. “After making a real push to sign Jordan Ayew and oliver Skipp late in the summer – decisions we are pleased we made – alongside a couple of expected departures not occurring, we entered January considerably behind on our season budget. “Although January is a time for the media to get excited, it isn’t the best time to do business. For some reason clubs won’t accept loans with obligations if we survive and players won’t accept a wage that drops 75% if we finish in the relegation zone. Whilst it is natural for fans to want additions, the most important thing for us coming into January was to keep edouard at the club, he’s been working on his swimming badges and is really close to holding his breathe underwater for 2 minutes. Thisgives the group of players the chance to continue theirprogression and provides an opportunity to build on the solid platform created during the first two-thirds of the season. “We have now managed to close the gap in our budget whilst minimising the impact on our first team.” Absolutely refreshing from KPFC

There’s a chain of responsibility and you start at the bottom and work your way up. if the next director of football is not able to function properly then it will become evident the owners are the problem. But to me it looks like someone who is fully committed but has been badly advised for a very long time. He needs to put on his big boy trousers and accept that he can’t rely on this person. im yet to see any arguments for what Rudkin has done well. We don’t have a vision. We’re not profitable. We’re not improving fan relations or community integration. and this one’s on Susan but we’re not succeeding commercially. we are very luck that we have hands off owners because there’s nothing worse than owners playing with a club without the expertise…. However, it only works with the right team in place to control those aspects. every manager has had the same problems it’s time the club realize that we are hamstrung by the director of football
-
What noise? Because short of top spending his time on this forum or in the locals, we are genuinely quiet about this. Only recently have there been audible chants about Rudkin out and that’s easily deflected as disappointment at a particular result. 2 years ago the anger was directed at Brendan. We have given Rudkin a free pass for so many years and not done anything that would make top reflect. 10,000 people protesting with banners for Rudkin out… that’s what makes him realize it’s not sustainable. I lived in Thailand for nearly 3 years, I know how things work over there. Media shaming of an Employee like this would be a national embarrassment. I promise you it would have an impact if done correctly.

Baby steps. Absolutely no point protesting King Power Out. it will not get us anywhere at all and that will guarantee the media say we are being entitled. “of course they’re getting relegated what did they expect” There are easier to do moves that can lead to success. king power have proved they are willing to invest in us, they are not football people, they need a competent director of football. Wrexham are not doing well because of the owners. They are doing well because the owners brought in the right football people. We won’t become perfect over night and every club gets decisions wrong. But we need someone qualified with a vision and the one hope I’m clinging onto, is that Top sees all the noise and makes a tough decision to remove Rudkin. that’s possible. Anything larger will not be happening anytime soon.
-
I’m glad they’ve put a target on this. I think we need to ensure we all pull in the same direction and don’t muddy the waters. This should be focused on Rudkin… if we all focus on that, the club know what they can do to resolve it. when you go after the whole board and ownership, they shrug their shoulders because they’re not firing themselves. The message needs to be to replace Rudkin or at the very least change his position, so that someone more qualified can be DOF.

Playing a defensive mid as a false 9… Claude puel would be proud. Thats seriously dumb stuff though
-
The power of hindsight… we were supposed to get the biggest prize, yet I’m sat here still not able to shake off watching us get hammered by Everton!!!!… and Leeds are winning every week and just won 7-0. It makes you wonder, what’s the point in it all. Last year was our most enjoyable campaign in a long time and I’m almost excited to get back in that division. I wonder if the sentiment is the same at Southampton and Ipswich. Perhaps it’s a little different for Ipswich as they still have that novelty but this has been a soulless campaign.
-
I certainly wouldn’t be against him. But it would be just our luck that his methods stop working when he arrives here. In many ways It would be like bringing Nige back, he’d slowly remove all the over paid prima Donna’s and get some proper defenders in. with a talented scouting team, it’s honestly always been the way to go for a club like ours. Get people in who get the defence right, sign the right personality’s and sprinkle some flair and if you get the right parts you can fly. That’s exactly what’s working for forest right now. If we had an old school Dyche back four with Ben mee and tarkowski type centre halves… nothing glamorous but solid. And mix that solid with players like fatawu and el khanous and it can be something great. its hard to make any progress when the fundamentals of defending are just completely missing. In many ways cooper wanted to be like Dyche.. he just was completely out of his depth and didn’t know how to do it.
-
We need to think long and hard if Rudd is the man for the championship. There is very little reason to persevere if we are going to let him go at the end of the season anyway. But if that’s the case then whoever comes in does need a free pass from the club. It’s a fine balance because momentum can be hard to change. The obvious choice that might keep us up is Dyche but would he really be the right choice for the championship. It’s debatable, he’s obviously been promoted before but is his style now outdated for that? if the window is shut I’m not convinced Dyche could work with what we have anyway. He’s already binned off coady once
-
We could have used him today 😆
-
He should ask for Gerrards old job
-
@JimJams bastard
-
Sounds about his level. Any news on Alves?
-
Half the issue really. He’s likeable and I think that’s why so many managers play him. He’s not improved one bit from the day we signed him. He had a purple patch when the whole team was doing well but other than that he’s just never really been above average.
-
What logic is there for not bedding in woyo now? Weird management
-
Yeah I get that. But it’s the manner of the deal that will always make him one to point fingers at. he’s been a better purchase than skipp at least he gets his way on to the pitch. I think he just stands for everything that’s wrong at the club right now. No personal ill will towards him but he sort of encompasses the bad decisions of our club
-
Games lost already. No doubt about that. And you’re right. but if by some miracle we go into games and keep it tight, you still won’t get much out of bdr and ayew and a 38 yr old striker. From the outside we’re just viewed as a basket case and nobody is scared of us. Probably viewed the same as Southampton
-
We have no money in January because we spent all our budget on a 4th choice defence mid. Of all the incompetent things this buffoon has done, this has to be up there. It feels like we just did it because we failed with all the other deals. Even if skipp was decent, it would still have been a foolish move to spend our money on this position
-
The difference is, we can change the defenders and still be horse shit. We can legitimately swap Ayew for someone who improves us.
-
Anyone else want to hide from the match thread in here and we can pretend we are signing the next tete?
