  1. He’s had one season in France 10 years ago when he got 17 goal contributions. his best year since was 11. What would make anyone believe at 34 he will be able to transform to someone who regularly contributes? When alrbirghton went to west brom their fans thought, he’s going to smash this. He had one good game with an assist and then did nothing. ( sorry Sharkey, I love you). that’s how it goes for most aging pros He’s not someone like vardy who can defy time, and the championship is already his level. the most you can expect is his standard 7-8 goal contributions. But id bet he’d get 5 max and guess what, he’ll still completely slow down everything we do. He can be a useful squad player who comes off the bench and helps us control a game and nicks a few but if he becomes key to us… we won’t finish in the top 10. I’m certain of that.
  2. I’d be extremely surprised if wilf stays. He’s done well enough that someone will take him for a nominal fee and we’ll be happy to clear the wages
  3. Players in our squads championship capabilities: Too good for the championship (winners) : Bilal, fatawu, mads promotion: Souttar, vestergard, mavididi, winks, Ricardo, wilf top 6: faes, vardy (off the bench), kristiansen, Justin, soumare, ayew, daka mid table to bottom: coady, skipp, bdr, unknown : Jakob, alves, Nelson, okoli ( I just can’t judge where he’d be yet) Not surprising we are struggling when we only have 3 (4 with facundo) players that I can say are too good for the championship. compare that to wolves and you’ll see our problem
  4. How many times has a ref stuck with a decision after going to the screen. it’s happened once the whole time
  5. What’s annoying is that whilst that’s the correct call and what we all want var used for. We all know that if that was the other way around, Man U get the pen and they hide behind it’s not clear and obvious. It’s the inconsistency that is the most frustrating thing. All calls like this need overturning, doesn’t matter if it’s salah, haaland or ounachu
  6. Fair play to var you mean? The refs only changing it because they’ve told him to
  7. I’d imagine we go for a caretaker. Then a punishment from the efl gets announced. Then nobody wants to join and we have to take an Ian Holloway type. Danny Rohl makes sense but so did corberan so you can guarantee we won’t go with it.
  8. the closest thing we’ve done to this ayew hustle, was selling musa to saudi. and they didn’t care at all about his ability. Its a complete madness that we’ve paid actual cash for him. this would have been a bad deal if he was free. Bdr was free and was a honking deal but i’d go as far as saying this is the worst value we’ve ever got. i don’t think another club would have paid half the price for him: but that’s closely followed by skipp if not eclipsed. absolute madness that we spent 33m on ayew, skipp and edouard
  9. https://x.com/rt_com/status/1884500027462279516?s=46 Just cross your fingers it hits Leicester
  10. Tell you what this team can really play football!!! Genuinely under rated. But it would be nice if Brentford could play against an actual football team
  11. right now, i care for this club about as much as elon musk cares for his kids
  12. Start the rebuild now, bring in rohl if he’s daft enough to take it and start preparing for next year.
  13. Got to go for it. We are running out of games where points are possible we have to see this one, as a game we can get a result in. I just want to see some effort and some thought to the game plan. If we don’t win tonight, I go from 95% sure we’re are down to 100%. Brentford are firmly a team that are very good but beatable.
  14. As someone who lives in Canada it’s hard to take your eyes off of America right now. It’s beyond madness that he can brazenly side with Russia and still not lose support. When he started all the talk about wanting Canada, I think people expected the whole of Canada to unite against it. But the Canadians that were trump supporters whom I fully expected to be just as insulted, all seem to go along with it. I think those that are already hypnotized by him are not going to ever change their minds. I still don’t fully believe things are as they seem and that the online pr campaign paints a different picture to the support in reality. But it shows how easily some people can be influenced online. Some of the nicest Canadians I know have been sucked in and embrace him without any logic behind it. The only reasons I’ve ever heard are pointing fingers at the other side, rather than ever actually defending him. The world is crumbling and is going to be picked apart one nation at a time
  15. Deflecting instead of reflecting as per
  16. With each passing day I find myself more and more convinced that this family made a deal with the Thai devil for our title win
  17. Miguel Vítor is the captain of Israel
  18. Narrow 433 for me Mads woyo. Okoli. Faes. VK (Have to go with our quickest for brentford) Wilf. Winks Soumare Facundu. Bilal Daka It’s hard to pick something based on what we’ve got right now but my thinking is that brentford are very strong on the counter. so to balance us against that, when we have the ball I’d push woyo and vk forwards for the width but have wilf and winks drop back to keep enough coverage. I think you’d be naive to not leave 4 back against them when you’re as bad as us and the away game showed how lethal they are, when you give the ball away. The dms essentially get the ball to soumare who transitions it to the front 3 who we just let do their thing. This would be my approach even if it’s a little boring. But brentford want you to be overly adventurous
  19. He’s got a touch of the linker about him, in that he is probably a bit too nice to actually make a good manager. But great news that he’s involved
  20. I’d be interested to see how Richard Kone develops. 21, 16 goals this season. Doubt he’s the type we’d target but aid imagine you’d get him for a relatively small fee. Honestly can’t say I’ve watched enough to know if he can make it but definitely promising profile
  21. This is the sort of treatment that should be highlighted during a protest. As funny as it is to bash Rudkin, the club would be far more embarrassed by a van highlighting that they treat sick fans like that
  22. I know someone that I can reach out to. If you’re on here send me a private message please
  23. Honestly beyond appalling how bad it’s become. Surely a message to the right people and not the genetic ticket service gets this resolved? Is Jim still at the club?
  24. You’re not wrong and when they start gaining a reputation the sharks will always circle but it’s similar to a player having a good YouTube reel. Unless they actually go and scout full games the risk is substantially lowered. If a club watching him everyday start to acknowledge they are better than established pros they have on the books, that’s giving clubs a firm benchmark to their level. It’s also basically giving the world a free scouting opportunity. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if the reason the club stopped showing live games for the youth was because of this extra exposure. I’m not naive in that I think that clubs aren’t aware of their existence but it’s that element of unknown knowledge of their full ability , that can protect you. I’d just feel more comfortable giving them opportunities like this , when we can’t be taken advantage of
