As a part time Ajax fan I can confirm this would be a clever signing if Hamza Mendy Praet and Tielemans go. Suits our transfer style of multiple positions per player, good rotation option with Wilf, better at CB than Vestergaard, runs well with the ball, good progressing passes as well

Botman and Fofana as our CB pairing going forward would be unreal, plus Evans and Soy as cover

LEI- CHE Post Match Discussion (Moan In)

Think we need a blinder in January -
No Potter is the obvious candidate but he absolutely wouldn’t leave Brighton when they’re doing better and wouldn’t go to Spurs. there’s a bad feeling at the minute around the club with poorly timed comments and bad performances, but a solid win against Legia and Watford would definitely brighten the mood. the club sacked Ranieri after poor form so they won’t be too emotionally driven I’d imagine. Leicester is a really good prospect for a lot of managers but we honestly couldn’t attract someone of a higher calibre at the moment.

Brentford 1-2 LCFC - Post Match Thread
80footgiraffe replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed. Newly promoted teams are now some of the most exciting and difficult to beat. Look at Wolves when they came up, Sheffield United, Brentford are clearly not here to make up the numbers. Makes the win even better -
Leicester 2-Burnley 2 post match thread.

I think its pretty damning that one of the worst defences last season in Southampton have transferred to us and Rodgers is surprised there’s been defensive frailty. If Evans is on the bench surely he’s comfortable playing? Castagne and Lookman looked solid and linked up well, we need to start with Nacho and Vardy or we riot -
Mention of view to a permanent transfer on The Athletic
-
Watching his first interview he’ll be most definitely an interesting one to watch. Most definitely.
-
Im really happy for him. As long as he doesn’t score a winner against us. He definitely disappointed almost every game he played but if he does well elsewhere we can still credit ourselves with developing him from where he was as a kid at Brum
-
I mean I think that’s fair enough, we aren’t a huge club in terms of finances, but we’re still attracting great young players like Tielemans , Daka and Soumare. If we sign players below that calibre of “up&coming” we all panic we’ve fxcked it
-
Think I got more excited about Hudson-Odoi, but whether there was any truth in that I’m not sure. Always give every player a chance but we’re a very good club now and costly mistakes aren’t tolerated for long around here. Think he’ll be useful addition just need next summer to be one of real XI improvement. Clear the target was depth this summer but hopefully we can push on and get that prestige RW
-
Feels really frustrating. 3/4 windows in a row we prioritise elsewhere. I’ll give the lad a chance but our business looks a little dour without a classy winger
-
I can never forget his penalty in the last minute against spam. Always puts him down in my head
-
As someone with a lot of love for Ajax (they’re my favourite team outside of Leicester) I would be happy to see this happen. He is a fantastic player admittedly issues off the pitch but even on loan he would cover the gap well. I think win win
-
Not sure what will happen but if Hudson-Odoi is available I really think we could do worse. Would obviously have loved Madueke or Stengs, but at this point a loan with option would be good. Its a glaring issue but our window has been good. Shame that so has most of the other clubs around us
-
So I think it’s always worth noting that good players can look bad in a good team. And then good players look decent in a bad team. It’s all about how the team plays and who plays alongside them. I think this is probably a very good bit of business, and for 3/4 years a very serviceable back up
-
This has the vaguely desperate feel of Andy’s agent sweating waiting for a club in the 92 to call back
-
Yeah I’d be very happy with this, he’s a real goal threat as well. Maybe Kabak/Lenglet as well?
-
Prefer Lenglet but undoubtedly a good addition if it was true which is almost certainly isnt
-
We wont sign from the premier league. Inflated costs, selling to “rivals” & lack of budget prices us out. Only possibility would be a loan but again no-one really available to our high standard. Looking at La Liga & Ligue 1 will be our first bet as financially they’re still struggling. Think Lenglet feels a bit too prestige for us but would be my first choice. Richards from Bayern as another “for the future” and we’d be very well balanced at CB
-
really good watch for Barca’s situation. Also definitely recommend Football daily in general great content plus one host is from leicester and although he’s a celtic fan has huge interest in us, basicallt supports both teams
-
If we could do the same as Under, option to buy, we may still have the money to look at another winger, again possibly on loan
-
Don’t underestimate how good this would be, whether there’s Any truth is one thing. He’s struggled a little recently but that’s the exact kind of signing we like, someone with something to prove. honestly best cb target this window
-
Boateng on decent wages would be a dream for 2 seasons. Rodgers has consistently spoken about wanting to bring winners to the squad, so maybe the likes of Kabak doesn’t feel quite polished enough?
-
Very Wes in style and strength, would be a great rotation option for around £10/12 million. Daka, Soumare, Bertrand, Tah and a new winger (Berardi 🤞🏼) would be so solid, really astute signings that improve on outgoing players and overall squad depth. A+ window if it all comes off
