  1. Is it being shown week by week or can I binge?
  2. You'd image in the short term the aim is to get 2 of Wasps, Worcestor, London Irish back into the top tier to make it a 12 club league, after that realistically the only teams that could probably get themselves promoted would be that 3rd team from that list + Trailfinders maybe after those not sure there is a club that could hold themselves in the Prem even with investment. After that does it go to 13 or even 14 taking in the 4 clubs mentioned & become a closed shop, if it goes to relegation promotion it'll be the same team(s). Players are picked up from the likes of Nottingham & Coventry but not sure they are big enough to hold their own with the championship being used as feeder / loan options really. I think it will become a closed shop once they settle on the number of teams soley because of the lack of money about, investors will be reluctant to stay with the jeopardy of relegation hanging over them & like or not it's the only way to keep money in the game...at the same time we also can't have the likes of Red Bull just buying their way to the top. Probably deserves to go in Rugby Union thread but there is some Tigers content within, Welsh Rugby is being squeezed due to funding & will see their current top 4 teams reduced to 3 with Scarlets or Ospreys folding or merging & with 80 contracts up & a lot of those players jumping ship into English Prem or France it will happen shortly with the likes of Morgan & Lake choosing Gloucester (great steals for Gloucester) for next season. They then have the knock-on effect of International picks, whilst the eligibility rules have dropped from 60 caps to 25 this is still an issue for the long term success of Welsh rugby as they struggle to overhaul that aging squad they had with younger guys who could be tempted away to the Prem - France, & this is where Tigers come in as they are looking at the current fly-half Dan Edwards who is leading the charge in that position for Wales but being only 22 & not yet reaching the required 25 caps it puts a spanner in the works of Welsh progress. Dropping to just 3 teams they have to either drop the eligibility cap again or scrap the rule altogether.
  3. Yes can't blame him i guess as he's realistically going into his final contract with the 3yrs he's getting at Sale taking him to 35 & probable retirement.
  4. Are there enough ‘names’ in woman’s football to go around thou? I’d imagine any player of quality will be with the top teams or moving to them, the likes of us won’t be getting a sniff of any ‘name’ in their prime but will have to rely on someone who’s on their way down, you then get into the cost of trying to do that.
  5. You and ya dad weren’t at this game then 😂
  6. Either Brighton don’t rate Facundo B or the really well run club aren’t the messiah of all clubs after all, as his value will have taken a huge hit after this season. Think he made a bit of a mistake himself, you could see he was never getting a game at Chelsea with all the players they were buying. He should have stayed & fought or gone to a mid table club and played a full season. Not sure he’ll ever end up at a top 4-5 side in premier lge tbh
  7. Thing is are the others any better, in 180mins+ stoppage across 4 premier league games there has only been 6 saves required to be made by 8 keepers but the championship is of such shite quality…
  8. I have watched 15minutes of the Tyne derby and other than it being played at a considerably faster pace there has been multiple missed places passes, players unable to dribble past their opponent, players feigning injury & general poor decision making but that’s real life football & no really difference to the apparent ‘poor’ championship…I’ll bet the Forest & West Ham games are of similar quality
  9. If he didn’t save the point blank Clarke shot at 1:0 but didn’t make the mistake at 3:0 would that have been better for some 🤷‍♂️
  10. Nicky Smith leaving also end of the season, Sale his assumed destination. Shame as the prop positions had been our weakest position but with Smith and Heyes we finally had a pairing that took over from the once Cole/Genge partnership. Hopefully Haffar or VDF can step up but we might need a bit of experience to fill the gap.
  11. Where’s Zed….. ooh come on someone had to say it, he certainly played a good villain 😔
  12. It'll be until the end of the season, if he can get in & kick some 4sses & provide a bit of leadership whilst keeping Ayew away from 90mins a game then its a yes from me.
  13. Its not the 1st time we have heard this season he's been the best player on the pitch by both Newport & opposition fans, granted this is Lge2 but still, what does he need to show or adapt to play in the championship. He's not going to be physically challenged (tackled) any harder, the role remains the same - break attacks & feed the ball, the only difference is the speed & time he'll have on the ball i guess (despite many saying its a poor league) but that generally is a brain & confidence thing. Winks isn't the biggest but his brain (his football 1) allows him time & space & his confidence allows him to recieve the ball in tight situations knowing he can deal with it, Braybrooke has the brain & his confidence must be high with how this season is going for him, i'd be all in for bringing him into the fold in January, although i can see him staying also. I'd suggest he's more of a starter than Page & Page is getting game time so no reason why if Winks is out the picture it can't be Skipp & Braybrooke for that role & use them both every game to keep tempo up. This will save us on a perm transfer / loan fee to replace Winks & obviously his wages will be lower than anyone we could bring in, it also hopefully sets us up for next season for the same reasons enabling us to look at other positions. Get him back & play him!!!
  14. Probably hung on due to the keeper who’s getting a slating in his thread 🤷‍♂️
  15. Still keeps fcking Ayew on, Mavi was the 1 that could make something
  16. Vestergaard again not marking
  17. The Daka issue is that Ayew still on pitch, we now need Page on for Ayew and probably Silko for Fatawu as he’s shot
  18. And the change is Daka for Ayew just like it should have been v Derby they are camped in our half we need Daka to push them out OFFS Wots he doing
  19. Vestergaard & Thomas
  20. Twitchy hoop time for Saints 😂
  21. Only 3 teams in the premier league have won more than half their games played so far, only 3 teams in the championship have won more than half their games played so far, premier must be poor also? When did you last watch a premier league match & thought that was pure silk like it is from a screen (FIFA) from both teams & what was the final score? How often during Enzo's season did posters say i much prefer the championship where the general standard was better & more exciting as bottom could beat top unlike the closed division above. How often have we heard that Man U are absolute pony & a laughing stock of a club then beat a team that only has 2pts so far to move into 6th themselves? How often have we read in the Premier thread this season how boring virtually every game has been. If the championship is of such poor quality what's the point of Lges 1,2 & beyond, why do managers try to cut their teeth if they have poor ideas. Are 10 teams in the championship so far away from 10 teams in the premier league in terms of match-2-match quality, i honestly can't remember when i was wow'd by a premier league game, not even the so called mouth watering top of the table clashes are edge of the seat stuff. Footballs a simple game I think half the problem, away from our own performances, is that people live second by second during a match, how many tuts do you hear on every-&-any game just because a player mis-controlled, a pass wasn't a direct arrow to another player or the shot wasn't hit with such precision that every shot resulted in a goal. Games arn't played on a screen, mistakes happen & thats probably what leads to 90%+ of goals in some degree, in any league anyway. If teams were perfect games would be either 10+ all or nil nil
  22. George Martin leaving us at the end of the season looks like to Sarries. Bit torn about it as he is a good player but very injury prone and if he’s just looking at the wedge it’s best to say cheers and see ya
  23. He’s got 6yrs to achieve what both Barnes & KDH have/are achieving thus far so plenty of time. He could surpass them given his position as fewer CBs than midfield/wide players & they generally last longer. He now needs a good run of games / seasons then start to hunt down the next crop of England CBs & hopefully come 27 he’s a regular in that squad. Either way got a vgood career ahead of him 🤞
  24. Why is it constantly rolled out that this league is so god damn awful, surely the words competitive otherwise why do we also hear the championship is the hardest league to get out of? Just because it’s deemed we are shite but yet still closer to the top than the bottom it’s assumed the whole league is shite, would it not be shite if there were 4 clubs so far ahead that teams 5 to 24 can’t catch them much like the premier league, would that make it a better league? The Championship is the 5th most watched league in the world I believe and it’s because of the unpredictably of it that makes it so, not because it’s shite.
