Such a cheery thread 😞. But if the worst happens, I think Winks has more value than people are giving him credit for. Many teams in the PL would be enhanced if they had him in their team. He’s shown he’s over the injury niggles. Has to be £15m minimum, surely?

Championship team of possible transfers. Who has impressed you?

James at Brum. 👍 -
I think I tend to make reserved posts, in the main. But this guy is garbage.
-
At least if it goes to extra-time, we can bring Yunus off 👍
-
Allied to poor performances, one win in five league games doesn’t fill me with confidence that things are going to change dramatically. And they need to.
-
Have to take my hat off to your optimism of Yunus causing a team trouble. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

Predicted XI for first game next season

That’s just silly - as if Ward could get into that side! -
That’s where I want to scream. It CANNOT happen to anyone. The rules are interpretable by the league accountants. Why aren’t they interpretable by club accountants? If you’ve broken the rules, you’ve broken the rules. Whether it’s us, Forest or Man City. No excuses. But everyone needs dealing with in a consistent manner. Don’t extend the permissible losses. Or you’ll be doing it again every year. Draw a line in the sand and enforce the rules. And if we were incompetent enough to not adhere to those rules then we deserve whatever punitive measure comes our way.

Yunus hasn’t been good enough for the championship, never mind the PL. If this rumour of him having exceeded the number of games to trigger an obligatory purchase is true, then I can only conclude there is no leadership in the club whatsoever given the potential seriousness of our context. It just beggars belief.

Agree with your sentiments. But it’s just hard stand up with conviction and roar ‘GO ON’ when you know the ball is about to be played backwards. 🤷. Late second half vs QPR, there was an element of ‘roar’ as we sustained our attack. First half you could hear a pin drop as we bored the pants off everyone.
-
Agree. But Fatawu was fairly anonymous going forwards tonight. World his socks off defensively. Give him a breather. Could be a fabulous impact sub away from home in this. 🤷

I’m going with experience and a few ‘fresh’ faces. Mads Coady Vesty Faes Hamza Winks Albrighton Wilf KDH Mavididi Daka

Ipswich and Leeds have energy, belief and momentum. We have doubt, hesitation and fear. Pray that our early season results are enough, but we are so ragged right now. Chased shadows tonight.

He genuinely was useless this evening. So poor. -
This has a Coventry feeling about it. I’m behind the sofa watching this! 🥴
-
Watching us recently is a bit like watching your wife snogging your best mate 🥴
-
Always is. Even though he goes invisible at times in attack, his work rate and appetite for defending is a massive plus in a winger.
-
Yunus is playing, isn’t he?
-
Stuff like that kills me. A free kick halfway inside their half - and we work it back to our keeer who kicks it out halfway inside out half 😖😖
-
Oh FFS!!!!!!! 😖😖😖😖😖

Sound quality is awful on red button

My son has made two games this season. We lost both. He’s at the stadium of light this evening. 😞 -
Not particularly. But the alternative is possibly Doyle - who is positively glacial in the speed department 😞
-
It’s difficult, isn’t it? His pace is is so useful when we only play three at the back - but on the ball he has become an absolute liability. 😞
