Morning all, Taking my daughter to her first LCFC women's game at the King Power... any tips on how parking works is appreciated, as it doesn't appear you reserve Stadium parking for these games, so unsure if its even an option. Thanks

Burnley (A) next Saturday - POSTPONED
berniethebolt replied to weller54's topic in Leicester City Forum
Frustrating as it is, every cloud… gives those rejoining the squad another week for rehabilitation. Extra week will really aid the likes of Cags, Tomas, Castagne, Daka, KDH and Justin. and brings likes of Vardy, Fofana, Evans another step closer. -
He's got the game to be a top top player, needs consistency. Taking into consideration that's he's younger than KDH and a year older than Tomas at 22, I think he will be a real asset over the future seasons.

Shot stopping is sublime, one of the best in a 1v1 situation or snap shots, but even the most diehard Kasper fan will know his commanding of his box 6 yard area I'm afraid is poor. The back line depend on the GK for this zone. Teams know its his weakness and target it by putting the ball roght under his cross bar knowing more often than not he will not come. He's a top keeper with this as his achielles and although the back line seem unable to win the first ball, he has to take his share.

I find it bonkers how we always go on a mission to destroy at least one of our squad in a witch hunt. Perez has fallen off the radar but will soon be back, Bertrand and Vestergarrd are currently flavor of the month. does make me wonder if this is a reason behind how our atmosphere is a bit flat at the minute. To many off us turn up with a glass half empty mindset and turn on own rather to quick, or follow the pack mentality.

This is just Ayoze and has nothing to do with Rogers, who has actually improved him from what I've seen. Perez was exactly like this at Newcastle, exciting young prospect bought for pennies under Pardew and stagnated under Rafa. My mates a life long Toon fan. Firstly he laughed at the transfer fee and then his summary was he'll have you banging your head against a wall! 3 weeks he will look superb and then vanish for the next 3, so he was pretty much spot on. I suspect our scouting signed him to get that consistently out of him, which is hopefully coming now.. clearly a very talented player although certainly won't help if we boo him unless we think that's what turned Kelechis form around!! Long may this run continue, I'm a fan if his contributions and when on form he's a cracking player.

Legia Warsaw 0-1 Post Match Thread

I think to be fair to Brendan he's rotating the squad who should all able to step in, to many average displays are dragging us down as a whole. When looking who came in. Thomas.. I like him but was so passive, I'm sure 90% of his play went backwards.. and he was deplayed as a wingback... a shadow of Barnes , who himself is not in great form. KDH.. "here's you chance to show us your quality" - just failed to get going at all.. and went missing badly, not clearing the first man on deadballs.. its basics. Daka... only second start, started brightly but faded away. Perez... surprised he was taken off.. one of the few who looked creative. well..it's goes on, we're in rut on the whole as a team with only a handful in form.. I'd say Vardy, Castagne, Kels (given the chance) and Lookman have any sort of spark, so we have to be looking to start these every game to try and bring the others up them. Not he end of the world.. and I have confidence it will come good but its hard work to watch right now. -
KDH and Thomas far to passive and not taking a risk and poor end product. Both a change for me. Perez looks like the only player capable of unlocking something.
-
Shame if/when he goes. Very good player but not dislodging Tielemans and Nididi and Maddison will always be allowed two or three anonymous games to find form because he can be spectacular his day, so always playing second fiddle and fair play to him for not wanting to do that. I was a big fan of his style of play.

No issues with the music and I have no issues hearing it 3 or 4 times ever home game!! To be honest its an after effect and doesn't add to the euphoria. Music at sporting events during breaks at key moments, even mid game at the basketball is the way it is today. 5 years from now it could be replaced with something completely different.. we saw them experimenting with with famous Amazon light show!

Good to kick off with 3 points, more important than the performance, which was hit n miss. Not really surprising with the Fofana situation knocking the wind out all of us and Bertrands covid test would have been a curve ball as he was a certain starter. Early signs are Vardy will need to be managed (Perhaps Prem and Europa) as he was exhausted at the end so a standard shift for him, two games in a week he will need to be rested, one per week he'll be ok. Amartey is getting hammered but he's done alright for me, thrown I'm the deep end and showing his importance to the squad. Not a starter but then I suspect hes one of the lowest earners in the total squad. Onwards and upwards.

Wycombe Pre Season Match Thread (Delayed 15 mins)
berniethebolt replied to lgfualol's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not reading anything into these games. Our main 11 (that's available) are cruising through the game with no real urgency other than increasing match fitness. Then we fill 3 / 4 spots with Academy lads who arguably try to hard, overplay and give the ball away. Then theres 11 changes with a team that do not play regular in that shape, all a recipe for an average display. Wycombe by contrast go all guns blazing for the win. These are nothing more than training games and approached as such. -
Well done lads, proud and gutted at the same time and players I expect will all feel the same. When the dissapointment subsides an FA cup victory will shine through and for me personaly is huge after being a fan since the 80s. 5th.. dissapointing but a great season, this with having the first half of the season with an injury list and the back end with key players picking up knocks and running out of steam they have a done a great job to deliver this. Many clubs who will be hurting more.. Spurs gave everything today to finish above Arsenal.. nothing more and face losing Kane and Bale.. Son vulnerable, its can only be a disaster for them and they are not alone...Juve in Europa from the start etc. Us by contrast.. tight squad, good manager, strong investment.. I've every faith the squad will be pushing top 6 spots next season. Heads held high boys.

Important update.. with the FA Cup final approaching and top 4 dreams very much alive, the location of the crown piece is known. It was discovered at the back of Harborough Golf course close the the abandoned medieval village of Little Oxenden both are now part of modern day Leicestershire with LE postcodes. 🙌 When talking football, only modern day boundary lines matter! 👍🦊

Boys will be hurting after that and rightly so, painful to watch and I'm sure there was the total disbelief on the pitch aswell (weve all played in those games where nothing goes right and somehow lose against a team you should beat). Ive faith the lads will bounce back at the weekend with a solid performance. Dissapointing as it is to be out, it could be a blessing as the likes of Vardy, Tielemans, Maddison, Ricardo, Castagne... this list goes on, need to be managed for the final push otherwise we will be with the u21s for the final 6/7 games.

Can't fault the defense in that, did there job and absorbed lots of pressure. Soyuncu was our stand out player, very solid. Dissapointing from some of our key offensive players tonight, guilty of overplaying and getting caught in pocession and outworked by players who should not be at their level. Hamzas 15 minute cameo showed real energy and work rate which stood out a mile to what had gone before. All down to the return leg.

Soyuncu everywhere. Defense under siege. Zero workrate to retain the ball higher up the pitch from the offensive players. -
Was a good introduction for him to the first team and the correct game to do it. Held his own and gives him something to build on. Fofana is only 6 months older than him, which shows how special Fofana is!!
-
Doesnt sound good then based on that.
-
Only possible ray of hope there is he seemed quite relaxed and not in heaps of pain? perhaps he felt something and obviously tacking no risks, no movement and stretchered off. If he tore any knee ligament the pain is excruciating. Something not right but I'm holding out a Ray of hope.

Struggling to understand the comparison of Mendy and Hamza, Mendy for me is comfortably several steps ahead of him in squad selection and a decent understudy to Nididi. Certainly proved this at the start of the season. Hamza does have age on his side and easy to forget he is 23 and a good few years from what you'd class as a footballers peak. Teams like Fulham are perfect for him play, hold his own and develop, however against tougher higher calibre opposition hes a yard slower for me which is often behind a late tackle and early booking and gets caught in pocession. Hopefully keeps moving forward toward and contributes as a decent squad player. Worth working with as his contract will be good value for a premier league player im sure.

Were in a tough position if we persist with the lone striker formation. We have a handful of options at best and none are ideal. I can not see any of our squad outside Vardy playing there with any level of competence. Options Nancho - can play on the last man but not consistent enough and looks solid one minute and way off the pace the next, nothing inbetween.. confidence = rock bottom Barnes - strength is running at players, I think hed really struggle playing with his back to goal. Under - Harvey Barnes type player - he couldnt play it as he, like Perez, not strong enough and would get out muscle by stronger centre backs If Vardy is out for a prolongued period then I think Brendan may need to experiment with two forwards, one being Kelechi.
-
Quite a few not stepping up and hiding in the shadows today. Dont think the blame lands at anyones door and certainly not Perez for conceeding 3 goals. For me, most creative players completly netralised. Barnes, lovely goal but outside of that I can not recall his name baing mentioned and no probing runs, almost nothing came down the left. Perez, too flakey, not a number 9, and on a hiding to nothing today and cant play that position, shows just how thin we are in that role to not even consider Kelechi. Maddison, dissapointing for the standard we expect from him as a big time player.. lost in the mix and to many dead balls going to waste.
