Yet there’s 4/5 teams who have conceded more than us. We’ve only got to be better than 3 of them. Going forward, we’ve scored at least once in every game, only us and Man City have done that. This isn’t me saying it’s perfect by any means, but in my eyes, we’ve got the best goalkeeper of all the teams fighting at the bottom, which will ultimately be worth 5-10 points come may, and we’ve got Vardy who we know will score goals give half a sniff every week.

Ipswich complaining about the ref? He gave them absolutely everything, Phillips should have been sent off before they scored, and before they had a penalty shout and we all saw how they crumbled when they went down to 10 men. If the ref had got that right, I am almost certain we would have won. Ipswich had a lot of ball in the middle part of the game, but never really looked like scoring. We had a period where we just kept giving it back to them, and they had one fantastic effort on goal and a few shots wide. We had one cleared off the line and forced their keeper to make 3 or 4 decent saves. It wasn't pretty, but we got a more than deserved point and like last season I move on from playing Ipswich confident we’ll finish above them, despite only getting a point.

Absolutely not, we simply do not have a squad of players any better than a relegation fight. This squad, right now is not of the quality to be midtable in this league. Thats not to say I think we couldn’t improve, but right now we have a manager who’s remit is to survive not thrive - he keeps us up, we shake hands and then we move on to the manger who can carry us forwards.
-
Will take it, much needed and really important to keep them winless and down there. Realistically, outside Mads and Buonatte we have zero quality in this squad. The wingers today were woeful, both full backs were really poor and I don’t know if anyone comes out of that with any credit other than Soumare who was excellent when he came on and Ayew.

Because for every De Zerbi or Hurzler there’s a Frank De Boer, Bob Bradley, Jesse Marsch, Remi Garde or Steven Gerrard. That’s exactly why they are risks, some will pay off big time, some will come in and flop really badly. The e question is always is the risk of what they might bring too big or bigger than the potential rewards. The reason the tried and tested d managers keep getting jobs, Is because usually they keep the sides up. They are never going to kick them on to the top half and challenge for European places, but they’ll do just enough. Now it depends on your goals for the season as to who you want to take a risk on. I’ve always thought Cooper was just for this season, he’ll keep us up and that’s all we need to do in season one. We shake hands at the end of the season and then we take a chance on someone who can kick us on a bit, with the safety net of being ahead of the three promoted sides in terms of squad and what we can spend. This season is purely in my eyes the real dirty work before the foundations are laid next season.

Interesting looking at our squad and how poor it is, outside the starting XI. The line up against Man Utd, was pretty much who would come into the team if we have injuries and imo we have too many players who are not good enough for this level. I think I could count on one hand how many players we have who would start for a Premier League team in the mid to top level of the Premier League. I think we need some serious surgery in January.
-
I genuinely don’t understand what line up everyone expected? We've actually not got a very big squad in terms of quality. We were always going to rotate for this game, especially with a huge game on Saturday. Ward was always going to keep his place after the last round. Ricardo can’t play 3 games in a week, Thomas is the only other fit fullback. Vardy can’t play 3 games in a week, we have 0 other options Edouard hasn’t even looked slightly interested when coming on. BDR needs minutes, Soumare like him or not in terms of squad what other options do we have?
-
I just don’t think he can play 3 games in a week and Ipswich had to be prioritised over this game. No Ricardo for this is absolutely the correct choice.
-
So what you’re saying is, this seasons team is slightly better than 15/16?
-
2-0 and thrown it away again…
-
Depends on how you define trouble for them; with the lack of quality in the bottom six teams there’s no way they get relegated, however, for a club that size with millions in overheads they need to be playing in Europe every season. They could continue after another cost cutting season slip further back and who knows in the next couple of seasons, Leeds, Aston Villa, Newcastle some massive club have fallen from grace and ended up being relegated.

Do we have any promising young strikers? Jamie Vardy is 38, Edouard looks completely uninterested and Daka, is well Daka. Surely, it’s this position that someone is most likely to be given an opportunity this season? The problem for the likes of Alves is that he has buonanotte and El Khannous ahead of him for that attacking, but if flare role. -
We’ve now equaled that record, a sneaky 2-1 win against Ipswich and this team is officially title favourites.
-
He’d certainly be abreast the latest tactics …

Don’t you think us sacking a manger after 9 games who isn’t woefully underperforming compared to expectations would put off potential new managers coming in? How many top managers want to come and work for a trigger happy board who sack so quickly?

Is Jake Evans a striker? If so, surely worth a go on the bench? We are so weak up top and need something different, when Vardy needs to come off or be rested, we have no realistic options to jump in, other than playing a false 9 or someone out of position -
It’s really hard to see who else falls in, Southampton look far worse than anyone else in the league, to the point where Derby’s points record is in danger of falling. Outside of that Ipswich look like they have fight and will score goals, that will give them a chance, but I’m not sure they have the quality to stay up. The final place right now is between us, Everton and Palace. I think Wolves will turn it around as they go in a kinder run of fixtures. I think Fulham have too much quality to get pulled in, Bournemouth definitely could get pulled in, their first 11 is decent, but if they get a few injuries they could definitely be in trouble. I just hope we can get enough points to pull away.
-
This is the attitude I really struggle with, I simply cannot fathom ever wanting Leicester City to lose a game, let alone get a good hiding from 2 direct relegation rivals. Whatever you think of the manager, we need every point we can get this season, especially those against the relegation rivals.
-
Nah, there’s nothing worse in football for me than players refusing to celebrate. You’ve just scored a big goal for your club, go celebrate.

We lost to a better team, biggest difference was the quality of the back lines, they stayed organised and didn’t really give us a sniff. We made mistake after mistake, and were punished. We’ll need to be a lot better organised at the back to get something out of games this season.
