  1. Another reason not to sell in this window a great Euros and his price rockets up.
  2. Vardy contract runs out this summer. Are you talking about the books for 22/23 or this season? For 22/23 I be surprised if we made a massive loss after banking 80m for Fofana, the fact we weren't looking to sale at the time we sold him, tells me we were within PL FFP. We also sold Maddison early which may have pulled his fee into 22/23 This season we are under the championship Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rule and you can only average a 13m loss per year and £35m over a 3 year period, so would be very surprised to see a big loss this year.
  3. I think he would be cheaper as well. But wouldn't be surprised if we got Doyle back on loan in the PL.
  4. As a system team, players coming in now have time to adapt and learn under less pressure. Also allow is to split cost across to finance account periods. Spending money in this window goes in the 23/24 reporting period, spending money in the summer goes in the 24/25 period. The money you spend next summer hangs around for the next 3 years as part of the FFP monitoring period so be part of the calculations until end of the 26/27 season. Spend it now and it will drop out of the FFP calculation in 25/26. Considering we are seen as massive favourites to go up, I can't see there being much difference for players outside of the 5 league joining us.
  5. People saying give him a reduced salary. Why would he, when he can get more in the MLS or in the blood money league.
  6. Makes you wonder if its just bad luck.
  7. Good luck
  8. Think that ship has sailed.
  9. His has all the physical attributes to be a good defender at PL level. The challenge is to improve his concentration, positional sense and decision making. Last year is a little be of a write off, a terrible keeper makes defender nervous and as a unit we were poorly coached and often had a poor defensive structure. Enzo prides himself on the team being well structured which will help.
  10. Nice send off at the end of the season holding the championship trophy. Time to move on. Even goats don't live forever.
  11. Lots of devices in close proximity transmitting a signal surrounded by a metal box (turnstile) what could possibly go wrong.
  12. Unless the fashion for keepers changes I can't see him doing more than low end PL.
  13. I heard Bournemouth tried low ball us at the last minute offering us a lower fee, hoping we would be desperate to cash in. Moore deal would have gone though if Daka had. Depends what you believe, ether could be true.
  14. 100% it's about have enough of a PL standard in the squad and fit. We have a core which we need to add too.
  15. That's argument works both way you can't conclusively stay they aren't. KDH has 51 PL starts across 2 seasons, including 23 in a season we finished 8th. I'd argue his also developed his game significantly and is become a leader in the side. He is likely to eclipse Maddison championships stats from the season before we brought him (14 G, 8 A). Faes has now become a regular in the Belgium national team and was a breath of fresh when he arrived helping us have a decent run in the PL of 5 W 1 D and 3 L. Also under a coach who's committed and want to be here, rather than Rodgers. I pretty confident we have a decent core of players in KDH, Faes, Ricardo, Justin and Daka who can perform in the PL. Add to that Ndidi if he signs an Extension.
  16. There are no football reasons to keep Vardy and Albrighton on. However there is a role for them off the field in the dressing room.
  17. If wages were a massive concern we would have dropped the prices of the likes of Daka, Iversen, Nacho and Wilf. They all had interest but clubs were puy of by our valuations. Daka was all set for Bournemouth on deadline day, but we refused to drop our valuation.
  18. Ndidi helps massively we are ability to win the ball high up, which in turn leads to chances and goals. Sometimes you have to look deeper then goals and assists.
  19. We have moved on lot of players on fat PL wages, Tielemans, Evans, Maddison, Barnes, Mendy, Soyuncu, Amartey, Castnage, Bertrand and Pèrez this summer. Likely to be follow by Ndidi, Vardy, Nacho, Vesterguard and Albrighton. Of our incoming transfers only Coady and Winks will be PL ish money. I expect our wage bill to be less then half what is was at the 22/23 season. At its peak our Transfer fee amortisation was at around 70m a season on the books. That has dropped to around 30-40m this summer. I think we will be in a lot better position FFP wise. Also important to remember every club in the PL is now under FFP pressure. I expect a reduction of spending across the board.
  20. I have thought so they also have to give Linfield 1m from what I've read. Over a 5 years contract that's only 1.4m against the books from a FFP prospective. I'd imagine his not going to cost to much wages wise. I think we have gambles on a few players we can develop.
  21. Wouldn't surprise me if Man U sold him. They have a massive rebuild to do under Jim Ratcliffe, there squad is unbalanced and has a lot of dead would. This season they cashed in on Elanga and Henderson, both academy products. The season before Garner and Chong. Big clubs sell academy products because they are great for the balance sheet.
  22. Sometimes you have to let sh*t go.
  23. Sell but with a future sell on clause.
  24. I know, but it would be fun to see the reaction. More important to keep on chopping the dead wood.
  25. Whilst investing in kids is a good long term strategy, if or when we go up we are going to need players who can make a instant impact in the PL.
