When you consider his time at PNE his played 1834 minutes which is the equalivent of 20 games and has 10 goals. That's a goal every 183 minutes. Piroe has 50 in 9417 minutes, which is a goal every 188 minutes. Cannon is 21 we could have a good player on our hands.

Not sure you can make a case for Mavididi being better than Barnes yet. Barnes has 36 goals and 25 assist in the PL in 150 odd games. Barnes at 19 scored 14 goals and got 11 assist on loan at West Brom and Barnsley In 49 games. Stats which also put Fatawua stats into prospect. But you can probably argue his more of a team player and puts a lot more into the defensive aspects of his game.

I think he would have to show more in the next few months. Wouldn't be surprised if he end up playing 23 or 24 games. The fact we have been linked with other 8s would suggest the club hierarchy isn't convinced. However with the contract situation of Ndidi, Praet and with Casadei returning to Chelsea in the summer, the club my see him as a cheap squad filler 10m euros is around 8.6m. I don't get the Burnley comprasions, Kompany was never a coach under Pep. Yes he was a player, but it not the same as being a key component of the coaching set up. Enzo was not only a coach but assistant manager.

I'd agrue it was the clubs fault, most manager had a shelf life of 2.5 years. They should have moved him on summer after we finish 8th, there was enough indicators that he'd had enough and it had gone stale.

Think about this, if they see him as part of their long term plans. A loan, with a option for a further seasons loan in the PL wouldn't be a bad idea.
