That’s an antiquated reference. Don’t they just swipe left or right now?

Close, but no. Abdul Fatawu

I don’t think that it’s as simple as giving him more bone broth.

I saw the title of the article and I thought: “… but we aren’t even playing Birmingham City??”

Thank you for saying this. If the “big six” or other big clubs in Europe do go it must be a one way ticket out of the domestic leagues and current UEFA competitions. Some people seem to forget that they were proposing to stay in all the domestic competitions, but elevation to the new ESL each season wouldn’t be on merit. It was a closed shop cartel that guaranteed revenue and removed competition. The sentiment that they should all “**** off!” is an understandable one. It does, however, have to be under terms where they are kicked out of all the established competitions. My fear is that none of the authorities are brave enough to do that.

Finances don’t build a team, talent and hard work does.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment
Jobyfox replied to CrazyKopCorner's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think there is definitely an element of getting used to a new reality. We were an established PL club and it’s a combination of FFP and very poor management on and off the pitch that has got us into this situation. SC might be a “sensible” signing, but he’s not an exciting one. I don’t think anyone was expecting to attract Pep or Carlo, but maybe someone of the Maresca mould. We were establishing a set style and structure through the club in terms of the way we play (although many didn’t like it). Some will see SC’s appointment as further evidence that the hierarchy have no particular sense of direction and are just in reactive mode. The one point I would take issue with and many have said it: is that SC or A N other manager are a good fit if we go down. That’s rarely an approach that works. Not least it’s an extremely negative mindset (even if it’s realistic), but following relegation rebuilds are usually undertaken by a new manager as the team will probably need a fresh impetus and approach -
Do we have enough Pre-Season threads running?

Yes - it does have a bit of the Luke Chadwick’s about it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/52652459.amp

That’s true. He is arguably our worst ever manager and is totally that in my eyes, but that’s all hindsight. The vibes weren’t bad when we appointed him. More recent appointments have been: Pearson - meh! Ranieri - really? Maresca - who? I’m not confident myself, buy I hope Cooper is one of those that proves people wrong in the long term

He’s the very best manager whose name is an anagram of: “eco overstep” we could get -
Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?
Jobyfox replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah, I’m not endorsing the style or saying it would have worked in the PL. I’m just saying that it’s a departure from the club’s clear trajectory that was established under Maresca. It’s either a change in strategy or an indication that the club never had one -

I voted no, but the answer is more nuanced. The reason I voted that way is because we definitely had a clear style and identity last season and looked like building the team around it. Many didn’t like the approach, but at least the direction was clear. This appointment isn’t the worst in terms of the manager, but it goes completely against the blueprint we were establishing. It plays into the hands of people who believe we’ve got no strategy or direction at the top of the club. For these reasons the appointment is a confusing one. -

Let’s forget the Forest connection. I mean Martin O’Neill and Wes Morgan had pretty strong Forest connections. Can he do the job? It’s very difficult to know. He did brilliantly to get NF out of the Championship, but they were always going to struggle first season in the Premier League. Signing 10 players would have helped their cause, but I’m sure signing 615 players was a bit of a distraction. To be honest it’s going to be difficult for any manager coming in with pending points deductions. We need someone who’ll motivate the players, short term, rather than someone who’ll develop a footballing philosophy long term.

Bollocks to that! What we need right now is an irrational over reaction!!

I’m ITK and I know who the next manager is going to be. I’d be in trouble if I announced it on social media, but I will give everyone a clue. His last name is: _ O _ _ E R Only passing on what I’ve been told
