  1. People moan about PSR and I understand why due to the loopholes and inconsistencies, but imagine a world with no financial restrictions at all? Newcastle and Man City would blow everybody out of the water, agents would have a field day, whilst erratic or incompetent owners would be allowed to risk limitless long term financial damage. Imagine if we’d been allowed to spend in the summer of 2022? More crap like Daka, Soumare, Vestergaard, Kristiansen and Tete would only have deepened our problems in the long run, especially once King Power ran into their financial problems, and probably not kept us up. PSR does favour the big clubs, and that needs to be softened, but it also rewards smart operators, which we are absolutely not.
  2. The Premier League have only “relentlessly pursued” us because we’ve relentlessly refused to cooperate and relentlessly breached. The Arsenal situation is not relevant at all and the delay in the Man City cases isn’t due to the Premier League not caring, there is not a lot else they can do. The EFL way over stepped their mark two seasons a go, granted, but the idea that they would be happy to see us go out of business is ridiculous. Maybe if the club sorted themselves out and cooperated with the leagues then things would be a lot smoother.
  3. Always felt like those compilation videos of him being out of position were a bit harsh, as they often cut out the bit where Faes has charged out and got nowhere near the ball.
  4. Feel exactly the same about this as I did McAteer, good deal financially for a player that feels replaceable, but he wasn’t one of the bad eggs. Always gave his all and was never scared to be honest and candid in interviews. You take the money but it’s imperative that we bring in a few with the right attitude.
  5. I assume it’s a business plan. The EFL can enforce that whenever they suspect a club might breach (again). I highly doubt it’s a self imposed embargo to avoid a points deduction, that’s not how the system works. We breached for 23/24 and probably have 24/25, but the only people that can determine the punishment is an independent committee.
  6. It’s only a good deal because of PSR and PSR is only a pressing issue for us because of incompetence.
  7. When we have so many players that don't want to be here or have attitude problems, I wouldn't be selling one of the very few that consistently gives his all and seems to care about the club. Yes he's not a starter and yes he has his limitations, but we need to building a new culture and Kasey is a good fit for that.
  8. Doing any sort of protest last week would have been crazy in light of Wednesday’s situation, which would have totally overshadowed it.
  9. The messaging needs to start being aimed at him and King Power. Ultimately it’s Top that makes all of the final calls and it’s Top that refuses to restructure and freshen things up.
  10. It's a vicious cycle that we are stuck in, but the blame doesn't lie at the Manager's door. It needs someone higher up, someone who's been here longer than a few weeks to identify these types of players and realise that their time is up. Can't think who. Regardless of their quality at this level, they have all let this club down time and time and time again. Some spend most of their time ostracised in the U23's (whilst turning down chances to leave), some can barely be bothered to track a run, some spend more time waving their arms (and hair) to blame everyone else for their mistakes, some don't fancy staying one night a week in a luxury hotel room (but loves a cheeky aperol spritz on matchdays), most them couldn't be bothered to clap the fans at any point over the last couple of years and all them have played their part in an unacceptable period of incompetence, lack of commitment and, ultimately, abject failure at this football club. The culture and standards need fixing. Clean slates for players that don't deserve them will not do that.
  11. I think the players will all benefit from a proper, modern, forward-thinking Director of Football, so in my head those chants very much are getting behind the players and the club.
  12. It’s £15M by the sounds of it and that is terrible business. We were under no pressure to sell as he’s on low wages and the PSR cutoff has passed. Someone of his quality and his age is £25M minimum.
  13. I know it’s a small thing, but it irks me in that video that “King Power” is mentioned before “the club” when talking about the importance of the community.
  14. His PR is very good.
  15. £2M for Coady is still less the amortisation we had remaining for him, so that's a loss...without even mentioning the obscene wages he's been on for two seasons, offering very little. Nidid has worked out well, but we wouldn't have been laughing had we'd stayed up last season, Ndidi had got back to his best and then we lost him for £8M. Mads is leaving for about £10M less than he should be. Meanwhile, we are still lumped with Vestergaard, Soumare, Faes, Kristianson, Ayew, BBR, Justin, Daka etc. No credit should be heading anywhere near Rudkin.
  16. Those topics can become politicised, but they are not in themselves political messaging. Being inclusive and respectful to all, regardless of race or sexuality is not a political statement. Poppies commemorate any British national who lost their life in a war, it does not commemorate or support those wars or conflicts.
  17. Nothing was photoshopped off, as I said last week you could tell by the way the shirt was hanging. People were seeing the change in reflection of the stripes and thinking it was photoshop.
  18. I've had enough of signing Dick's.
  19. Bet Wright also quite prominent.
  20. I get the hate, but what surprises me is that he seems to get more of it than players like Vestergaard who are equally as bad, equally as culpable, have an equally bad attitude and with the added bonuses of being unavailable a lot of the time because he’s fallen out with the manager
  21. I’m not actually sure if that has been photoshopped. The way the shirt is hanging and creasing doesn’t look like there was a huge sponsor there originally. I suspect they are delaying this to try and brush it under the carpet and to get more of KBet’s absolutely 100% legitimate online presence sorted. If they have u-turned, it won’t be because of fan reaction, we know that much is certain.
  22. Only 8% of fans in the Trust survey think the clubs fan engagement is good and yet the tone of that statement is one of a roaring success. This was the clubs chance to admit it needs to do more to communicate and engage with the fans. This was their chance to at least propose that a board member will be communicating in some way, but no...nothing. Nothing will change whilst the club can hide behind the FEF and call it progress.
  23. Memories of watching this match on Central on a Sunday in 95.
