  1. ....but sadly, that is never, ever going to happen....and that's the point, something has to be done. I think 99% of this forum would want to see KP and Rudkin out first, but they're going nowhere. Things are undoubtedly worse for Marti, but it's worth remembering that Enzo had to work under these twats, and with a similar group of players and was successful despite those challenges. Marti just does not have the presence or the talent IMHO.
  2. I'm very concerned he'll take us down. It's a terrible situation and a honking squad, but he isn't the manager to sort it. I'm usually fairly patient when it comes to managers, but Marti is not the guy we need right now.
  3. James, Stolarczyk, Fatawu, Ricardo, Monga....probably the only players I can tolerate. I despise the rest and would be delighted if any (preferably all) of them ****ed off tomorrow. Cannot stand most of them.
  4. Good points. Things are bleak right now, but potentially this could be just the tip of the iceberg. The financial situation, PSR, player contacts, dodgy sponsors - these guys have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Absolute charlatans
  5. The epitome of everything that's wrong with the club. When you think of all the things we hate about the club; the lack of effort, the lack of character, the lack of value for money, the indifference....he's emblematic of all of those things.
  6. Couldn't finish his breakfast, this lad.
  7. All of this is true...however I don't see much to suggest Marti is the guy to fix some or even any of those problems. Marti is one more among the almost infinite number of problems the club has right now. He doesn't get a free pass in my opinion.
  8. Said it earlier in the season and got mocked. It all feels very 2022/23 to me. Similar issues. Similar inertia. Same mercenary shitbags. The momentum is all going in the wrong direction. The problems we've had for the best part of 4 years haven't been addressed. The promotion season partially masked what is a horrendously rapid decline.
  9. The only argument I've heard for keeping him is that the issues run deeper than just his management. While that's definitely true, that's not really a reason to keep him. He's not what we need right now IMHO.
  10. Fixed that for you.
  11. Fourth game in a row I've not bothered to watch. It's genuinely quite liberating. I hate this team. It's a relief not to have to put myself through it.

  14. Great post mate. Interesting stuff. These two stats stood out to me. The first one especially. The absolutely slavish devotion to possession based football and patient build up.....it makes no sense as we're far too predictable. Throwing in long passes here and there can help us put more pressure on the opposition and try to force errors. This whole Man City cosplay thing we've been doing for the past few years is a) embarrassing b) mostly awful to watch and c) is ineffective, as your stats suggest. It's actually completely counter-intuitive to keep playing this style when we're patently not very good at it. The lack of interceptions doesn't surprise me at all - our midfield is regularly out-fought and out-thought - not exactly a shock when your options include Winks, Skipp and Soumare. The last two are barely even professional footballers.
  15. That statement is brilliant "We'd like to thank Brendan for his efforts, however he's a shady **** and here are the many reasons why..." I love it They won't, but any potential future employer should really think carefully about what this is saying about him as a man.

  17. Brendan doing Brendan-y things as soon as he faces a bit of adversity.
  18. Reminds me of similar conversations the season we got relegated from the Prem. We absolutely could go down again, as the same warning signs from that season are there again this season. Too good to go down? With the same twats running the club, a toxic squad with no fight, a blunt attack and a shite defence....it feels horribly familiar to me.
  19. Either our scouting is worse than ever, or (more likely) we're just going with the recommendations of agents and gambling on whether it'll be a hit or a miss. If our scouts looked at Carranza and thought "he'd be ideal for us" then I'd be amazed. More likely Rudders contacts some agents telling them we need a striker and at the end of the chain we end up with this duffer. Either way. Not a good situation.
  20. I think a better manager could get more out of this squad. I also think fans would be more patient if they could see any evidence whatsoever of things improving. It does take time to change, but what changes do you see happening? I just see the same individuals making the same mistakes and not taking accountability and I'm a bit sick of it.
  21. Can't stand Liverpool but that VAR decision is absolutely mental. John Brooks must have had a few quid on a Brentford pen in this game as that's a mad decision.
  22. One of those players who you wonder if he'd stand out playing for Oadby Town*. Same with Daka. Just no quality at all. *no offence to Oadby Town
  23. Top and RIdkin in the front

  25. We have undoubtedly got huge issues, but he's paid to find solutions to problems and he isn't finding any. That's the brutal reality of it imho
