Actually, having read through their post match thread, most posters are saying Grimsby deserved it. Hard to disagree with a lot of what is being said there!

Amorim's tactical rigidity is just so self-destructive. He's been a real flop.

He had a shocking record at Celtic first time round didn't he? At Liverpool before that, too. Such a weird manager. Obviously has some real talent and knowledge, but then such glaring flaws that he seems to have no interest in working on.

Bilal's agent really will do anything for his payday won't he? -
Just a thought. It's worth noting that sadly, both Alves and Braybrooke suffered horrendous injuries in that time that massively hindered their progress. They were both hyped with some justification, however serious injury at such a young age has probably robbed them of some of their ability. Sad situation, that.

Another classic case of Third Season Syndrome for Brendan. Like clockwork

We're not signing anyone are we?

If someone came in and shat on your kitchen floor, you wouldn't thank them if they came back the next week to collect it, would you? That's how I see the situation with Rudkin.

Good luck JJ. Sadly he was a liability last season. £8m is great business. We need reinforcements, though. Badly -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Great move for all parties....except Leeds. To be fair, I wish JJ all the best - seems a great lad. -
IF players are coming in (and I have my doubts) then we're playing a risky game here. It's all well and good getting good fees for the leavers, but the later we leave it, the more we'll end up paying for replacements. Teams will know we're desperate.

Good deal, but the squad is looking paper thin and Luke Thomas has not started the season well. £10m is all well and good, but we need replacements - and quickly. -

I'd agree with everything he's said here. The team put in a shift, been a while since we actually successfully got through a 'backs to the wall' type of game.
-
What is it he's supposed to be able to do? I can't discern any particular strengths in his game. Seems pretty poor in all areas.
-
Thought he was good today. I'm not going to get too excited though as that level of performance has been so few and far between. If he can play like that regularly then fair play to him.

Eze to Arsenal confirmed. Going to be an interesting week. I like BEK, but good enough to replace Eze? I'm not so sure. -

100%. Even taking lcfc bias out of it, Jones threw his marker to the floor. Blatant foul. -
At the end of the day it's his ability that won us this game. He did some poor stuff, but he's also been out for half a year. I'm not going to criticise him.
-
Not a great performance, but there was resilience and a bit of character. Take the positives

That was shocking, but to be fair to Marti, after an awful week, that's a big win. -
