Could we get actually get relegated again this season?
Tielemans63 replied to Bevan's topic in Leicester City Forum
So far this season, we've squeaked past a Sheffield Wednesday side that will definitely be in League 1 next season, lost to Huddersfield reserves, and been beaten by a poor Preston side. If you think we're too good to go down, get your head out of your arse. We absolutely could get relegated again. The culture at the club is all wrong. -
We're completely ****ed
-
You've killed the club, you useless ****
-
I'm a bit done with us being completely shit
-
This kid is the real deal. Absolute quality

What is Marti supposed to do with these melts?
-
To be fair, what I meant and what I said were two very different things there
-
Won't happen, but would like to see Page start. Winks has to start, surely?

The wage bill. Sorry, didn't make that very clear. Amended
-
How can such a bloated wage bill yield a squad with such little depth? The mind boggles. Some achievement from Rudkin andTop, that.

Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)

Made his debut 8 years ago. Hasn't been a regular in any of those 8 seasons. Allegedly on decent wages, too. Not good enough to start regularly at CM or RB. Time to move him on. -

£9m?! Everyone keep a straight face.... -
Completely agree. Obviously Coady and Wilf have gone. Hoping the rumours about Hamza are true. The obvious ones are Soumare and Daka. £155k a week spent on paying those two....and for what? Makes my blood boil.* £40k on Souttar, a player it appears no-one at the club actually wanted, seems like an equally spectacular waste of money. * To be fair, £170k a week on Winks and Riccy P isn't much better. No way either are worth anything like what they're being paid.

3 white people discussing racism in the game. Commentator is white. They also then interviewed Adam Smith and Arne Slot to ask them their views....again, both white. Obviously Sky aren't responsible for whatever the Liverpool fan came out with, but they're not exactly promoting diversity themselves. Not knocking them for discussing it, just seems a tiny bit ironic that those who are far more likely to suffer racism aren't given a voice in the discussion. -

Andoni Iraola is a cracking manager. The top clubs should be looking at him. Really like the way he manages. -

Has this been reported by anyone even half-reliable? Genuine question. -

If it's £9m, that's too good to turn down. That said, if this is just chucking more money into the black hole of debt without any intention to strengthen the squad, then losing a player who can play both sides could be costly. He's very replaceable, if they actually intend to replace him. -

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx23l9k9vjvo Is Enzo taking the piss ? Surely he can find a centre back in his squad of 111 senior players. -
Up there with the £5m we turned down for Iversen, who then never played and left on a free. Amateurish
-
I can't see another club paying him £90k a week. He's going to have take a reasonable pay-cut if he does leave, I think. I'm not sure any of the clubs mentioned originally will be offering to match his wages here.

I think it's a fair question actually, when the rot has well and truly set in, the level of talent in the squad becomes almost irrelevant. Starting every game with effectively 8 men (Soumare Skipp, Daka) makes me very nervous, too. That said, I don't think we will. I don't think we'll be promoted though. Too many issues and horribly imbalanced squad. -
'Played' is a strong word
