Realistically, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that whoever is coming in has already met the players and those staff taking sessions and laid out a blueprint. The first week is always going to be conditioning focused getting players on a pitch to tolerate the loads that are coming before any form of tactical messaging is implemented. I would hazard a guess whoever is coming in probably has someone present at sessions or has some involvement themselves even if it hasnt been announced. Photos and videos can easily not show the full picture, and a lot is always going on in the background without any kind of formal announcement. IF, we are having to keep things quiet for financial reasons or anything else, it's very easy to keep that information in house and ensure nothing gets out to compromise that. I know people love to take a dig at the club, but even when we were successful under KP, leaks were always very minimal and a lot only seemed to be reported immediately before announcements. I imagine they will be doing a lot to control the lack of narrative as frustrating as that is for us.

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)
LcFc_Smiv replied to CloudFox's topic in Transfer Talk
I'm not bothered how comfortable he may be in the championship, his attitude is everything I don't want to see in a Leicester player. -
While not a rule change I'm aware they are going to make the physio come on for any player who goes down clutching their face, meaning they will have to go off for 30 seconds unless the opposition is cautioned. If the player declines medical treatment I believe refs will still send to serve the 30 seconds off the pitch as they have stopped the game for them to receive treatment. Head injuries are a messy scenario but it makes sense so me that if you ensured all had to be assessed/treated by medical staff you would cut down on the blatant cheating.

I think that was more of a problem where it was going too far the other way, literally every little stoppage was being accounted for to the extreme.

A few bits on this which seemingly haven't been reported anywhere and will add to the chaos from the fans side. Players can still talk to the ref, the captain only rule will come into play when the ref initiates it, you'll still get some initial moments where players will go to/crowd the ref, it will be then when the ref initiates the captain only signal that players will have to move away and shut up. If the keeper is a captain then the team must designate an outfield player to take the responsibility to prevent teams trying to kill time waiting for a keeper to trudge up the pitch to talk to the ref. The 8 second count only comes into play when the keeper is in control of the ball and is able to release it. So if they collect it from a corner, and opposition players are trying to prevent them from releasing it the 8s won't start. When the opposition moves away the ref will count to 3 and then initiate a 5s countdown with their hand held above their head. If an opposition player doesn't move away from the goalkeeper preventing them releasing the ball for a significant period of time the keeper will be awarded an indirect free kick. Something daft like only 15 incidents occured where this was punishable out of all the trials, so it's likely to rarely occur. First one is a warning, second is a caution (yc), third would then be a second yellow, you'll have fans going mad for a keeper to be sent off if they are already on a yellow then hold onto the ball for over 8 seconds. The other bit of this is they haven't used this trial in any stadium with any significant crowd, so it could be full on chaos when you have 20k in attendance counting to 8 as soon as a keeper collects it but the count technically shouldn't count, or if its like 8.1s on an actual count and released.

This proved to be a winner yesterday, wasn't too keen when he was barking at the door at 5am this morning to go toilet, only to jump straight back in!

Well done mate, that's some impressive times and placing! I agree around the different events, as much as they try to be well organised I've not done one where it has been overly clear and ran as smoothly, especially when the bits you usually have to be aware of as a runner are when your physically and mentally at your limits and just trying to keep your legs going. -

Barnsley 10k, course time of 46:43, watch time of 46:23- 1 second off my pb. A really tough day in the heat, and contemplated walking numerous times on the climb back into the town, hit the peak of the hill and found some pace for the last 2k which was much needed and managed to stay with a small group who were finishing fast. I've ran the route so many times in club runs but today was the first time I really appreciated just how tough some of the segments are. -

Probably my favourite running event, I've not entered this year to run the Barnsley 10k this weekend. Messaged my mate earlier who I run it with to say I'm glad we're not doing the RSR with this weather. All the best with it and take care of yourself, probably one to enjoy the sights more than chase time! -
Because like others have said, an outgoing is probably imminent so we won't financially compromise ourselves

About time for some good news!

Championship 25/26 Fixtures - Thurs 26 June
LcFc_Smiv replied to Hitesh's topic in Leicester City Forum
First month and last month of the season would appear to be pretty generous. Just need a manager, some players, potentially a new owner, a kit to play in, and to know how much of a points deduction we will have to overcome. -

Just been into Barnsley to collect my 10k race number for this weekend and their having a 'live' event starting at 11:30 with the fixtures being released. In typical fashion it's been well backed by the fans, as of two minutes ago there's about 10 people all panicked stood around a TV and audio system trying to get everything to work and no sign of anyone official from the club addressing anyone or taking any responsibility. I can't wait until we get to these levels -

They must be magic because I don't think even we know who will be coming yet! -

Looks like we weren't big enough for the Brum or Wrexham ties opening weekend. -

I don't think fixtures get leaked this far down the pyramid -
It's probably the better of the potential destinations, I'd be gutted if he was to go to another English club. Im guessing there's little to no hope of some sell on clause because you can see him having a few successful seasons and getting snapped up for a large fee by the likes of Man City or Liverpool in 3 or 4 years.
-
I think it's a definite sign of everything that is wrong with the club at the moment. Even when relegation was confirmed, I had hope of, as you say of a young hungry, innovative manager coming in. Someone or something for us to at least have some hope in. It's just under 1 week to July and not a single word, the Rohl rumours don't seem to be strong enough to be a possibility, the Dyche rumours seem to have more substance and are unfortunately highly likely. I just hope something materialises that can be seen as a positive but I think with all the other noise, that hope is vastly fading!
-
I didn't think I'd get to this point, but if it is gonna be Dyche, I'd rather stick with Ruud. I'd rather let him have the opportunity to try and build something with a full preseaon and the chance to lay his foundations with the playing squad. It's just in pure hope that he has managed to learn something on the job and something changes. Don't get me wrong, it's a poor choice and massively uninspiring, but I don't think I could bare to watch us with Dyche in the dugout. What a mess

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy7ng4vj8leo Aren't these the ones who have been involved in some dodgy deals with Forest, paying well over the odds for the keeper?

A large number of EFL clubs return today, with us starting the season a week after leagues 1 and 2, and our ongoing situation, I imagine we are looking closer to the back end of the week, early next week.

I won't rely on him for Leicester related info if that is the case!

They were of the belief that the previous fitness staff were no longer in place, when I asked as in Matt Reeves, he said him and others. He's worked under a previous member of the medical and fitness staff quite recently.
-
I've just been for a catch up with someone who has said this isn't the case, supposedly been a reshuffle. A couple of performance roles have come up in the academy which he said he was told have come from first team staff being moved on and academy staff being promoted.
