I do wonder what our insurance premium is a year after our recent seasons of injuries.... Like getting a car insurance quote after having 21 car accidents and being banned from driving in the past two years.

True. We simply don't know who the '6' are. But guessing vesty is one of them. If we get an acceptable offer for Nacho or Praet I think we'd sell based on their contracts. Maybe we accept to lose for nothing if Enzo feels they will help get us promoted. But it's bad business to lose players for free. Time will tell.

I think we will sell Castagne and Souttar. Both at around 10m each. Praet will also likely leave for peanuts. If we sell a striker it will likely be Nacho due to his contract. And again expect around 10 to 14m for him. Vardy will start when fit. But expect a season of niggling injuries due to age. Knowing his personality I think he will be well up for this season so wouldn't write him off.

I'm more excited for this season than I have been the past 2. New team, new manager and some genuine positivity with the signings made. I mean comon. If nothing else our new keeper looks entertaining

Same board won us the premiership and fa cup. Something we could have only dreamed off a century ago. There has been major **** ups somewhere across the top tier management. But relegation can happen to anyone. Toon were down not so long ago. These mistakes were a combination over a few seasons. And I largely blame Bodgers who will have had an influence in a lot of it. I think reading many threads recently there is still an air of some unreasonable negativity. Top is investing in a complete 1st team management set up (manager and coaches). I am reasonably happy with the calabre of players brought it. Winks, Coady are class signings for a championship team. Plus the new winger is a step above what most teams in this league can produce. We have players that are easily in the top 5 for the position in this league. Most our defence, dewsbury Hall, winks. Vards, nacho. Let's not forget, didn't he recently write off another large debt the club had to KP? He's still committed. Lets get positive and get the **** out of this league. If not this season, certainly next. We arent throwing money around unreasonably, which prob means the books are being balanced and / or we are reserving for when we do go back up. I still have trust in Top.

Good player for us. Sometimes a joy to watch but sometimes bloody frustrating. There never seemed to be a good performance. Was either very good or shit. Had moments off attacking magic but his ability to get back and defend when we were up against it was less than average. I think for Newcastle, this is a top half signing not a top 4. He will win them points but at the same time lose them some. Wish him all the best. A loyal servant to the club. Can't blame him for leaving now, he is a premier league player. Hopefully we invest the money wisely. I'm more confident we will now than a season a go. Seems our recruitment has improved a lot with the current new team in place.

Expectation is we get promoted straight back to the prem. Reality, I think this is reality and I think Top will buy it. Expecting more decent signings, new GK, several new attacking players and a bloody good and fun season. Supporting the club as much as possible this season. Will travel to as many games as possible and will buy some merchandise. I'm really looking forward to this overhaul and refresh. 👍

The main factors for selling Barnes will be his preference, EG has he asked to leave. And us getting a good offer. It's very different to Maddison, he has 2 years left instead of 1. If he's happy to stay and help us get back in the prem then I think he stays. I don't think we are desperate for funds as many, included me initially thought. He's also not on a huge wage compared to others.
