Spartak Moscow (A) pre match, 20th Oct, 3.30pm

Make changes: Why aren't we taking the UEL more seriously?! Play strongest team: Why aren't we saving them for the next PL game?! -
It did... and then they had a remarkable purple patch towards the end of the season - 8 wins in 15 - but either side of that results have been abysmal.
-
From the Guardian report: "Puel has the tools to produce better results." Also: "Although Puel insists he retains the faith of the squad, his tendency to fall out with and exile senior players has become a burden." "with fans protesting and investors balking at the team’s dire position, Puel is not done defending himself."

I've modified my driving since I went on an awareness course 3-4 years ago - eg used to do 88-90 on motorways - now do 80 - 70 seems so slow, especially on empty roads late at night.

It's worked to be fair !

Wanted him (and the other title winners) to move on PS 13 wins in his last 60 league games at St Etienne and facing the sack apparently > https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/oct/18/claude-puel-clinging-on-job-ligue-1-saint-etienne

Update: It's been two weeks and no letters through the door #phew

Said it before and I'll say it again. He'll still be scoring goals for us when he's 50. The man is a genius.

I genuinely don't think many people will give a stuff about this potential breach, especially when there's loads more going on currently which the Govt needs to be held to account about.
-
There's plenty to criticise the Govt about right now so seems strange they've gone back 10 months to something which might be a minor breach and, I'm guessing, most people won't give much of a toss about. The paper must be desperate if this is the best they can come up with when there's plenty more important stuff going on.

"... It's understood she did stay as part of the couple's 'childcare bubble'. ..." Bit of a desperate story, especially 10 months on. Then again it's the Mirror...

What are our current expectations?

Be in and around the top six for the next decade, cup runs, European football, give the big boys a bloody nose Not every season will go to plan so expectations need to be measured a bit. -

Perhaps this will put to bed the BS about the fractured dressing room etc -
I used to be scared when Spider Kalac was named in the Leicester team.

What a piece of work tweeting this and then defending it in follow up tweets. There is a time and place to discuss the toxicity of politics but not immediately after this.

Horrific. No other word for it.

New rules allowing travellers returning to England to take lateral flow tests instead of more expensive PCR tests will come into force on 24 October. The government says the changes will take effect in time for families returning from half term breaks. Fully vaccinated passengers will be told to upload photos of their Covid-19 tests for verification. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said it would make travel easier and simpler. The travel industry had said it was vital to make the changes to the Covid travel tests in time for the half term holiday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58917231

I suspect, as someone else said, that he probably meant 'bitter sweet' rather than 'sour' but I also understand those on here who constantly slag Rodgers will use it as ammunition to their cause. In terms of translations, I did a zoom interview for TS ahead of the FA Cup Final with Castagne and he used a clunky turn of phrase at one point - nothing significant, it was non-footballing stuff, he was actually trying to make a joke - so after conversation with the club we edited it out so nobody could take it the wrong way.

Smiled my way through both series. It's just bloody lovely.

The 2019 exit poll was similar to the final (and large survey) poll YouGov did before the GE. But generally I think you're probably right on that.
-
They are sometimes out of kilter the other way too ie in the same week YouGov had Labour 2% ahead last month, other pollsters had Tory leads of 9%, 8% and several at 4% As I said earlier, You Gov nailed the 2019 GE almost bang on, with 100k polled, which was very impressive.
