It's a bit blue sky thinking to be honest, at any club, never mind this one. Glasner at Palace would be a good example of the fact managers really aren't that empowered anymore, and I think people have always thought they hold more power than they do even when they had control of player recruitment and wages. They are ultimately there to get the best out of what's at the club not get involved in the clubs internal long term visions and strategy. Which has both it's pros and cons tbf. Your under lying point does have some merit though I personally feel there is no chance the decision to appoint neither Dyche or Wilder had little to do with actual capabilities and more the fact Cifuentes just bought into the way they like to operate far more.

I think you aren't fully appreciating how much of a turn off this job is to anyone, a good manager likes a challenge, this is now a lot more than that, it's turning into a completely irreparable mess , and I think you don't seem to get how our recruitment works, we go through sporting and technical directors who at best have a decent say on who and how someone comes into the club, you've made my point there in a way. You can "demand", more control over the recruitment all you want the club is still well within it's rights to say no that's now how we work (which is what they would do) and then that's another reason not to take the job.

It's not, at all, not ones with a reputation to uphold 1) No money, poor financial setup 2) Poor squad morale and attitude 3) Poor leadership above you 4) High expectations that Leicester should be doing far better than this and steering them to safety would be seen as expected in a lot of quarters 5) A fanbase that is divided and in some quarters desperate to totally figuratively burn the club down and rebuild it Horrible job with very little to gain and a lot to lose.

We wont even get Dyche because I don't think he's going to want to come here now. And this is another problem, this job is now so difficult for a manager like Dyche it could be a serious hammer blow to their career and lower their opportunities at shots at jobs at the lower end of the Prem or promotion chasing Championship sides. We didn't need to hire a manager like Ciufentes in the summer but we chose to, and now we are in a position where his kind of ilk are the only ones that are going to have any interest in the role. Another wonderful failure in decision making by the board.

Why though.....taking emotion out of it what credentials does Andy King have to take a clearly highly difficult job like this on and not massively struggle. He's just a tool to try and get some fan sympathy going. Frankly he deserves better than being given this to take on, he can't really turn down it down as it's a chance to get his foot on the managerial ladder and prove something but the reality is it's just a badly poisoned chalice for someone with his level of experience that could do him more harm than good.

It's not really an eye opener is it. I mean he's not wrong but it's just him explaining what's gone wrong and he knows a fair bit about doing things wrong so will be noticing the patterns. Not convinced he knows anywhere near as much about the specifics as he claims to, I don't for one second think he "knows" anything about League One wage reductions, I would share his opinion that we would be far to arrogant to put those into anyone's contract but he like me is just assuming and trying to pass it off as someone who has some actual idea. If he had any actual knowledge or contact at the club he wouldn't have finished that point with trying to caveat it with "well maybe a few players they have signed this season" he'd know full well we haven't signed anyone on a permanent basis so that'd be impossible.

Thought the job was done didn't they, management and players, the way we played and the changes we made to the team reflected that and I imagine the half time team talk was shut up shop keep it tight and and we've won this. Worked out well.

Doesn't seem to be altering much from a tactical point of view, still Marti's formation, keep seeing our full backs invert and popping up in midfield all the time, still not a massive fan of it. Still not winning games. Seems to have got Winks interested again but that's not really helping. I mean I would normally say the sooner we get a good full time replacement in the better but we all know they'll appoint another sub par hopeless fool who doesn't quite grasp how much of a shit show they'll be walking into and the process starts to repeat again. Hope I'm wrong and they pull one of those 1 in 10 decisions they actually get right because we are in it now. I actually agree with this. Right team won and yet again we've shot ourselves in the foot with numerous individual errors, but as a 90 with 10 men for a lot of it I've seen much far more gutless performances than that and the signings looked fairly promising. There are actually a few positives to take out of it which is more than can be said for most weeks. Not that I'm expecting to be the start of a massive turn around but it was nice to see some sign it's possible.

Correct, he does actually look like with some sharpness he could eventually contribute to us finally go a game without conceding a goal.

I don't actually think we'll go down, this season. The issue, as people of my mind set keep trying to articulate, is this upstairs setup will only continue to take us backwards. And it might be next season, the season after, or in four seasons time, but with them in charge it will happen.

All seriousness knowing a thing or two about these things you are best to go through him. These games are (for numerous good reasons) kept away from anyone who doesn't need to be there most of the time.

He is one of the better ones though isn't he, that's how bad it is. It's all relative....You compare him to Soumare, Daka, etc.

Lascelles is a very good player imo, well was, If his lack of fitness and match practice somehow get played through he'll be far better than anyone else we have. I just don't think he'll manage it, but fingers crossed.

It's the failing to cooperate afterwards that's made it cast iron. We've failed to do it, the league have gone come on where are they, and we've still not helped. That's why we've been docked points. Our owners have basically got the false interpretation that we, and indeed they, are untouchable, the people that follow them are sitting on fat salaries knowing full well they aren't getting given a job in football ever again after this is over so want to drag it out as long as possible. And this will be the problem we face as fans getting rid of them.

The third one was basically they had the chance to come out with all the bullshit they did in there defense in the hearing with the league and they didn't comply hence why they were charged and taken to an independent committee. For everyone asking why Chelsea and Manchester City get away with things and we don't that's why.

People in the know have been saying February, six points, for god knows how long mate. The over riding point I have being trying to make not just in this, we need to start listening to people who know a little bit about what's actually going on inside the club, if things like this can leak out then perhaps everything people leak out about the loans, and I can't even bothered to list everything, is true. And we need to all take action yes? Manager, irrelevant, by-product, players, irelevant, by product, Nothing will get fixed at this club, nothing changes until everything changes.
