Aside from our very recent trophy winning history the paths these two clubs take really are eerily similar. Both relegated this season and had their talisman of over a decade finally leave the club. Been some great wins for them since they got promoted, Dortmund away and Bayern at home in particular. The playoff win last season was unreal too. As already mentioned the one silver lining is that we might get back to the size of trips that we have previously, 20/30+ lads making the journey all together. Been very difficult to get more than a handful at a time since promotion.

Lifetime bans too. Horrific. You know they'll all be targeted at fans in the blocks next to the away fans too. Take the opportunity to do a bit of a cleanse.

His one man demolition of Southampton probably gave the fans the best moment of the season tbf. That's worth including him.

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall of the meeting where they decided who was left out of the vote. Would be absolutely fascinating, possibly the first ever time they've had to actually speak to each other about the fact that things have gone wrong and a lot of our players are despised failures.

Paternal grandfather was in the Royal Tank Regiment, fought in North Africa and Normandy before he was wounded and went home. Maternal grandfather was a Royal Commando but don't know much more than that.

To be fair, we don't have many ready made youth prospects currently at the club. The next cohort like Alves and Nelson have been on loan, and then next batch down are too young to really make anything more than cameos. Braybrooke is the one that I'm surprised hasn't got minutes. Next season is now or never for him, he'll be 22 by the end of season season, not exactly a child anymore.

We'd spend it on a bunch of dossers though. We simply have to be a youth focussed football club if we're going to move forward.
