  1. I’d prefer to either end up second or third and even do another year in the championship then bring in another manager with a style that jsut will not work for us in the prem. Think Top still thinks the squad is prem standard but in reality at best it is relegation fodder standard, need someone who will be flexible tactically and be secure at the back. We have the players to sit deep and counter 100%, we have not got the players to keep the ball against even the bottom half teams in the prem. This would be another example of the delusion we have at board level
  2. Rohl in and a back three of Okoli/Nelson/Souttar either side of Coady is a very good championship defences, get Mepham in on a free as cover if Sunderland don’t and then focus on the midfield and mostly up front
  3. I’d pay 3.5 million to start with 5-10 extra points next year without a question. We have enough sellable assets coming back from loan or within the squad to cover that
  4. Think we can say a ‘big 5’ of the three relegated teams, Brum and Sheffield United does seem likely. Think depending on a point deduction for us, that us and Ipswich should be the best of the 5, with a deduction that race for 2nd could be very interesting
  5. Guess the aim is now get into the backend of the playoffs. Look at the ‘big 3’ this year in the championship, we should be able to put together a squad at least similar to Sheffield United, they ended up a good 24(26 without the deduction) inside the playoffs. Not worried to the extreme by the deduction more by a potential embargo and forced sales
  6. I don’t hate him and we have made some very good signings last few years as well as some disgusting ones which I’m not entirely sure anyone could’ve got between due to the way we run. Having said that, I think it makes sense to gut everything including management, recruitment and the directors and start clean. Will never happen, Rudkin/Top will be here until we fold, viva FC City of Leicester
  7. Our problem wasn’t trying to compete but how we went about it. We could’ve had Eze/Bowen along with Lookman for the Perez money. Could’ve had Wharton and spare change for Soumare. I know hindsight makes it seem easy but at the time they were the highest rated championship players, and Maddison’s deal should’ve shown us the way to go. We could’ve be competing but we got in our own way, and now my least favourite part of the day is hearing news about Leicester. Much as we’d all prefer to be established in the prem, I’d take going back to early 2010’s championship us in exchange for not having this shite consistently crammed down our throats. After Chansiri we have the worst ownership in England, I’d even take the Venkys over our mess
  8. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if we are forced to sell it will mainly be BEK/Nelson/Monga/anyone who is wanted who can produce a good profit for the books.
  9. In a 343 could see him being a very good rwb, has the legs and size to cover the ground and not be pushed about, and him overlapping Fatawu would be a fun combo
  10. Was going to say the same thing, what a truly good bloke big Nige is, he deserves the part of the credit he gets for the miracle season. He should never come back because his legend(and shakeys) will last forever, if that makes sense, long live
  11. Dead right tbh, for me it is simply who can make the step up, feels pointless having players who can do it at a higher level in the championship who struggle in the prem, if we want to be re-established Skipp could be a squad options ply for his size and he physicality, I do not believe Winks could, I’d rather sell for what we bought and bring in larger or more technical players in his place. Next season has to be purely about building a squad that can deal with the prem
  12. Think you aren’t necessarily wrong with this, my issue is as a holding midfielder if you can’t contribute defensively really, which Winks does really struggle with, you have to be able to contribute with more than just playing neat football in the prem, Have to either be just unbelievable with the ball or be a good defensive player and Winks is neither. It is rewriting history to say he wasn’t good for us in the Championship but think I’d rather we go up with midfielders who can at least hold their own defensively in the Prem. Think for all their flaws Skipp/Ndidi aren’t awfully bad defensively, think it’s why since they’ve been starting we have looked more secure at the back
  13. For me the only things exciting me enough to go back are Nelson and Fatawu, if they sell either genuinely gonna sack it off and use my season ticket money on a holiday instead, bored of this club now
  14. If we have to go down the free route Selles wouldn’t be awful, did an unbelievable job at Reading and had a poor Hull side performing ok
  15. Dyche over Russell Martin is the shits over cholera, I know which I would prefer but I would avoid both in an ideal world
  16. Was really crap when he did play this season, weak and unwilling to do the dirty work, if you go back and watch the highlights (god help you if you do) you’ll see a lot of him dangling legs instead of bodily tackling/blocking. Reason he can’t make the grade in the prem and the likes of Will Hughes/Lewis Cook are successful and it isn’t technical ability, he’s soft. Also loves throwing his arms about when we concede and acting a child,
  17. For me based on their ability vs performance, as if we actually just went off performance it’d be 2-4’s for everyone- Hermansen- 6 Stolarczyk- 7 Ward-0 Pereira-6 Justin-3 Faes-2 Vestegaard-3 Okoli-5 Coady-4 Thomas-6 Kristiansen-4 Winks-3 Skipp-3 Soumare-3 Ndidi-4 Fatawu-8 Mavididi-5 BEK-7 Buonanotte-8 for Cooper, 4 for Ruud, 6 Ayew-4 BDCR-3 McAteer-5 Vardy-4 Daka-2 Edouard- dead POTS- Iversen Again not saying for example Stolarczyk is better than Mads, saying he has overperformed to his perceived ability more
  18. He defends like he’s worried about making mistakes which makes sense in our shower, scared to get tight in case he gets beat. If he can go somewhere where he can feel safe in the knowledge that if he gets beat he’s not relying on Disco Stu and the slowest human alive to cover him he might be decent
  19. Vardy has been shocking so far
  20. If he does go there would be 0 reason not to bring in Rohl, we would have no 10’s and his system doesn’t and would suit the squad we have, get in Alfie Doughty and the two Doyle’s for cut price deals
  21. Doyle in with Rohl would be perfect, he’d suit a back 3 down to the ground
  22. Probably can throw Alves and Coulibaly on too
  23. Shown a previous interest in America with that USFL team, think he ends up there, or if he stays in England, could see him finishing at Wednesday
  24. Let him go keep Skipp see what happens with Soumare and Ndidi and sign another couple of cms/cdms. No real place in the modern prem for 5’10 slow weak players who ‘dictate play’. Too easily bullied, same as Cullen at Burnley under Kompany
  25. If he breaks Faes in training think he’s been well worth the transfer fee, let’s wait and see
