How does this team do in the Championship?
LCFCCKEANO replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
we won’t be selling the majority of the squad, that just won’t happen, it’ll be similar to last time, one or two for 20m+ and a couple of deadwood, and regardless the point I was making is if they do we have players who can equally come in and do well in the championship, Skipp was Norwich’s player of the year in a promotion push not long ago, Fatawu is two years on from bossing it. The level drop is humungous prem to championship, it’s why Ipswich have arguably the three best attacking mids in the championship last year and have had barely any output from all three with Delap in front of them -

It’ll be us Ipswich Southampton and the remainers of the current top 4 fighting it out at the top, maybe Brum with their investment. As a reminder for all of the lot here saying we won’t have a shot, Vestegaard was arguably the best cb in the league last year, Winks looked a world beater, Mavididi scored a bunch, Daka looked handy. Club is a shambles and we have a right to be angry, but that is because we missed the opportunity to be a stable top flight time at a time where that door is as closed as ever. I wouldn’t worry so much for next year as the year after if we make it back up tbh -

Think you’re right, for my part I’m hoping we go off and get someone younger from League one/abroad who could potentially hold up as a squad player, like that Reading centre half we were linked with, up top should be the priority -

This squad will come straight back up especially with Souttar, Alves, Nelson coming back into the fold. Think we have enough talent that we can sell Hermansen and a couple others and keep BEK/Fatawu, all focus needs to be on signing centre halves and a striker who will allow us to compete back in the prem when we do get back up -
West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

Need to try something new, I’d go 3421, Hermansen in net back three of JJ, Coady and Okoli(Vestegaard if no JJ), Coulibaly and VK at wing back, Soumare, Ndidi, with Facundo and BEK behind Daka. Itll be 4231, and if we are lucky, maybe Mavididi will start over Reid as the only change. Ayew is Ruud’s favourite for reasons beyond my comprehension, so he’ll start again -
What a joke

Been taken the piss out of multiple times sticking up for certain members of this side, and have stood by it, Watching for 20 years now, the least competitive, bend over side I have seen. I hope we drop some levels so we can get some fight involved, i go for the half time beer at this point

Know it’s going back a page or two but with the system of players being poached, think part of any comp should be an initially set 15/20% sell on for the developing club -
Going to scout the area before he moves up there in the summer
-
Saddest thing is Soumare will go right after he is finally living up to his hype (know certain people will laugh at that). Genuinely a player who could in another world be worth a lot of money if we could survive

This is why VAR is a good thing even if it is currently ran badly, should not be down to human(if you can call them human) error -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
LCFCCKEANO replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not his fault for any of this and think tonight was an experiment on our defence, think we see more of Okoli as a result. Having said that, give me Danny Rohl in the championship with our squad and the budget from selling Hermansen, ideally without the morons who can’t make a signing without 4 weeks notice -
Problem is he is shit, McAteer is shutter, Mavididi is alright or the shittest of the bunch. Bobby Reid is bang average and is better than the rest of them, someone earlier in another thread said in response to my comment on the squad that it is more of a statement on the rest that he is better off the ball, and was dead right, embarrassing that Reid is currently our only kind of ok winger

Just don’t care anymore, grim to say but I just don’t

BDCR could’ve also had a goal had he been slipped in by BEK, his movement off the ball is superior to anyone else in our squad atm -
Season Ticket / Membership renewals for 25/26

Go with a few mates that I don’t get to see all too regularly, so for the rest of this year forward it’s more a social thing than any sort of love for the product on the pitch, imagine it’ll stay that way until certain board members leave -
I don’t think it’s going to be the fire sale expected, we can sell 5/6 expendable first teamers and Mads and be fine for PSR, realistically we were in worst state last time and made 70m, Hermansen for 40-50 and then Winks/Ndidi/Faes/Vestegaard/VK/released contacts/Daka/Soumare will be enough to cover the majority of the rest Think El K and Fatawu have a good chance of being here next year and those two in an attack in the championship will tear it up
-
Stolarczyk Coulibaly Nelson Okoli Justin(VK if he stays) Skipp Winks/New signing if winks goes Fatawu El K(Alves if he goes) Reid New signing Would Be right up there Think Hermansen/VK/Soumare/Ndidi/Winks would be more than enough to cover the incomings
-
Fulham signing Chukwueze, maybe if we beg hard enough they’ll let us have Traore or Wilson on loan 😂
-
Pulled out of a loan for Akpom because of wages, proceed to not sign anyone at all? I just don’t understand at all, I think that article suggesting Rudkin is too held up on getting the best deal may be the most true piece of journalism, yet he still managed to spunk 30m+ on Skipp and Coady
-
Think both have to go at this point, start fresh, don’t know how new ownership would go and could be awful but at least it’d be different, heading in one direction at the moment with no desire for change. Can’t keep on with the laborious transfer windows and mismanagement of finances
-
Athletic says they’re prepping a new offer and we are looking for a replacement on their live feed, think it’ll get done but highly highly doubt we replace
-
Might be that only way wolves could sign him is to shift Dawson wages, Coady doesn’t suit us, and as Dawson has no time left on his deal might get some money in the deal which then means we can pursue another signing, I’d do Coady+10m for Dawson and another winger from somewhere
-
If we swap him for Coady and maybe get a little money due to the age gap don’t see a problem, no way his wages are higher and not like we’d be spending anything, better than doing nothing I guess
-
Think it is a sleepwalk to relegation without a centre back coming in anyway, knew that on New Year’s Eve, had to bring in a cb and a rb and haven’t even managed to do those two, it is beyond awful
