  1. Bit of a headless chicken, IMO.
  2. That could be him "doing the right thing" for Weds as he'll definitely get better offers this summer.
  3. I'm surprised that Danny Rohl and Marti Cifuentes haven't had more mentions, both doing amazing jobs at keeping teams up in the Championship last season. We're going to need that skill next season for sure.
  4. Wasn't it rumored we spent over a million on him? Total waste of money. We're really shit at this.
  5. Done. (and I will be, by the missus!)
  6. Can I just say, this is ****ing brilliant! I've enjoyed following along and reading everyone's input, and I'm going to order one right now! I'm not even going to pass it by the missus, she'll just have to deal with it
  7. My first live game in years, so I'm comparing it with mostly 80s and 90s. It wasn't as bad as I feared, to be honest. Well done to all that tried. I've lost my voice! Two notes, though, on the general change in football fans in that time. 1. The couple next to me were snacking on sushi and dried fruit. 2. The whole row in front of me, maybe eight people, arrived ten minutes late, left five minutes before half time, and never came back. Weird!
  8. Well, I ****ing loved it! My first live game in years, and my main wish was granted - I got to see Jamie Vardy score a goal! Moments later, I think I got a bit of rain in my eyes, or something... 😃😭
  9. I'll stay until the very last player heads down the tunnel 😎
  10. Thanks to general sale, I was able to get two tickets! My first live game was as a 7-year-old in 1980, and I had a season ticket through the 90s, but I moved to the US in 2001, and have only managed three games at the KP since. This will be the first game I've been to in person since Craig Shakespeare's last game as manager! I'm SO excited! 😃
  11. Plus the fact that "Championship history" means "since we've been keeping these sorts of records" which is probably about five seasons. Still impressive, though!
  12. That video is boring as ****! Boo!
  13. People actually want a blunt...
  14. They have a contract in place, but contracts can be torn up. Remember when Toby Alderweireld was on loan at Southampton from Atletico, with an obligation to buy? Spurs steamed in and did a deal with Atletico instead, which broke the contract between Atletico and Southampton. Spurs had to pay a fine, but they decided it was worth it. So it can be done, but not particularly elegantly...
  15. The other thing that often gets overlooked, which this clip illustrates well, is just how much we drag the opposition around the pitch, and just how draining that is. Even if this move came to nothing, it's still beneficial in grinding the opponent down. We are SO good at this - keeping the wingers really wide, and hitting long diagonals or otherwise switching play quickly. Every match I see an opponent's head visibly drop, as he has to slog half way across the pitch yet again, just to have the ball inevitably pinged past him again. It must be so demoralizing!
  16. I had a season ticket for many years, in the 80s/90s, but I moved to the USA just over 20 years ago. I get back to Leicester once or twice a year, but the club makes it so hard to get tickets, the last time I saw a live game, the City manager was... Craig Shakespeare! Before that? Paulo Sousa! I'll be back in Feb, if anyone has spare tickets for Sheff Weds or Boro? I would LOVE to go, and I would go every time I was back, if I could just buy a ticket!
  17. My perfectly reasonable request for FC Tucson (away) will no doubt be ignored AGAIN!
  18. I think Bachman turned up and over dived, giving away the pen.
  19. If Leeds are the second or third best team in this league, we are absolutely GUARANTEED promotion.
  20. I watched the 96/97 semi final defeat to Chelsea (Erland Johnsen 😡) in a bar in Bangkok, long before our Thai ownership. I was in a bad way because my brother had had a stroke and was in intensive care in Bangkok General (he made a pretty good recovery 👍). A few locals took pity on me at half time and struck up a conversation. By the end of the game I had the whole place screaming for Leicester, even though they couldn't pronounce Leicester very well. They even attempted some of the songs, my favorite being "Lobster, lobster, lobster, lobster"! 🤣
  21. Same season, I was on tour in Cuba, which in 2016 was still largely without internet, or much influence from the outside world. On the last day we were in a bar in Havana, and lo and behold, a grainy image of Leicester vs Villa was on the old TV in the corner. The whole bar were cheering for City! It really did capture the imagination of the whole world...
  22. I was taking clients on a birdwatching tour (it's what I do) in southern Arizona, USA (which is where I live) during THAT season (2016). My clients were an American Chinese man, an American Philippino woman, and their adopted Mexican son. I'd been lucky enough to see the day's game early morning - another victory! After an hour or two, the son suddenly shouted "dad, dad, we need to find out the Leicester score!" I was able to give them the full details 😎
