Yep there’s scheduled to be 104 games at the next World Cup and nearly all of the stadiums can hold over 60,000. I reckon there’ll be 6-7 million tickets sold which is mental for any event. Will be the most attended sports event in history.

It’s economics too in general though. We have slowly squeezed the smoking industry for good reason, but replaced it with the UPF industry getting more and more capital. It’s why the government should invest more in British grown food (and generally European grown but I’m not bringing Brexit into it). The UPF industry at the moment has hegemony and it’s destroying us as people and the environment.

It’s so simple yet so obvious. The Mediterranean diet is the one. At worst, Southern Europeans will eat loads of carbs and drink wine each day yet will be healthier than the average American, and increasingly British. It’s because ultimately that pasta, bread and wine has barely any nasties put into it whereas ours is full of it and their diets are full of fibre and things that are good for the gut and nervous system (olive oil, nuts, leafy greens). Increases in intolerances and allergies are also related to this.

The situation and context are completely different. The frustration then was that we had worked so hard to get where we had, and that Enzo’s stubbornness was going to lead us to blowing it. That was most certainly panic and obviously I don’t think we were ever seriously contemplating sacking him. The players were still doing what Enzo wanted, we were just terribly ineffective. Here, nobody knows what’s happening, the players look fed up, others are being marginalised, amongst the 100’s of other identified issues.
