They have not been banned because of their own behaviour (admittedly this is not always good). They have been banned because the authorities do not believe the fans can be kept safe when visiting this country. That is very wrong and the game should be played behind closed doors if this is believed. Whilst I think clubs from their country should have been banned from European competition this season, this does not alter my opinion that if we cannot keep someone safe because of a situation out of their control, they should not be punished as a result.

Thanks all! Reassuring definitely. Will be doing a short run tomorrow morning to set me right for a meeting I have scheduled but will try and rest too. I am not worried about distance but hopefully I’ll be recovered enough to push myself- otherwise I’ll be zone 2ing across the course(not a bad thing given it’s in the Peak District).

Supposed to run the Monsal Half on the 25th but have got some sort of bug which has completely wiped me out. What are people’s experience with running when ill? Will I be doing myself harm? Make it clear I will be running the half regardless but with running this week

Yeah they do, as do Round Corner and I’m a sucker for Mill Hill because it’s all Leicester/Leicestershire themed. Everards are bringing out a couple of guests every month- there’s nothing Leicestershire/Leicester themed. The branding and marketing all looks like it’s done by AI.

Would be nice if Everards could do some Leicestershire guest themed beers, rather than going through all the American states for names.

Fond memories of the madness he brought. He actually met and talked to fans, did interviews and was reasonably transparent. He also hired our greatest ever manager.
