I know a number of people who ran today- all said they were taken the wrong way and added about 600m onto their run. It’s always been badly organised.

Hyperbole- yes he’s poor this season but you would see his touch, passing and ability to read the game would stand out. Nonetheless he needs dropping.

Coincidence not causation.

Monsal Trail half marathon. The announcer billed it as a pb race but it’s so congested with the 10kers that I was nearly doing an eleven minute mile for the first couple. Despite feeling horrendous still, turned it round to get a respectable 1hour 57. Heart rate spiked at 201 which is the highest I’ve ever recorded it.

Where are you reading these rumours? Do people put rumours down on bits of paper, table cloth, napkin, fish and chip paper? Tell me please

I live a 5 minute walk away. I know you have cask in your veins and it’s average for that- still decent. But the keg line up is outstanding.

100%. People still say they’re sorry to me that my grandpa died. He died 98- would be 111 if still alive. Bloke was friends with George Orwell for god’s sake. Had a better life than I can even imagine.

They have not been banned because of their own behaviour (admittedly this is not always good). They have been banned because the authorities do not believe the fans can be kept safe when visiting this country. That is very wrong and the game should be played behind closed doors if this is believed. Whilst I think clubs from their country should have been banned from European competition this season, this does not alter my opinion that if we cannot keep someone safe because of a situation out of their control, they should not be punished as a result.

Genuine anger towards football fans? That’s what they should be seen as and nothing else.

Thanks all! Reassuring definitely. Will be doing a short run tomorrow morning to set me right for a meeting I have scheduled but will try and rest too. I am not worried about distance but hopefully I’ll be recovered enough to push myself- otherwise I’ll be zone 2ing across the course(not a bad thing given it’s in the Peak District).

Supposed to run the Monsal Half on the 25th but have got some sort of bug which has completely wiped me out. What are people’s experience with running when ill? Will I be doing myself harm? Make it clear I will be running the half regardless but with running this week
