  1. Looks like The Friary has closed down. And Brewdog building looks it’s being turned into a Bar/Lounge according to the signage.
  2. I do like craft but I never get a pint of it. I can savour a pint for forty minutes after work, decompress and go home. Ale wagon is perfect for that. Some outstanding scenes in midweek also, quite often they’ll be about 6/7 blokes all there by themselves, reading their papers in a row. Unique in the city.
  3. I go there quite often as opposite my office. Some people don’t like the beer but I think they’re just not big fans of cask. They always have something new on and that’s a bonus if you’re a keen ticker like myself.
  4. Hopefully someone from the continent gives us 8-10 million for him in the summer, and we say see you later.
  5. I think some of the messages are better than others but I can’t criticise those who are having a go at doing something like this.
  6. King Power out. looking forward to Saturday !
  7. It is King Power people should have an issue with. And yes, I believe my LinkedIn was frisked by the company the club employs to do such things. Should add the frisking happened last year and have deleted the account since.
  8. He’s not an outstanding talent. But someone who could have a very good career for us in the second division. Ben Nelson is the top talent.
  9. I was anti king power prior to us wining the league (under Pearson). I hope they leave soon.
  10. Keep coming to the city, our great city! But don’t worry about the football
  11. If you care about our city, you won’t want King Power in charge.
  12. If we continue in this vain, get rid of Borthwick after the six nations.
  13. It doesn’t matter. As long as they’re friendly to the ownership and their long list of influencers, the club don’t care.
  14. Not bothered by the manager. The ownership and their crew need to go. Hopefully King Power will be a distant memory at some point in my lifetime.
  15. Western Park and then Stoneygate next month. I love this city, so I’ll stay here.
  16. Our free fall will probably reset the current system anyway.
  17. Bowling Green have great memories of the only time I really drank lager, in late teens and early 20s. So about ten years ago it was doing a roaring trade and I would go in with pals for 2.50 carling deal. Used to be poured with a massive head but was a great way to spend a midweek night for the grand price of a tenner. It is constantly on the stoneygate site being cited as available. I definitely agree that its downfall is partly a result of changing habits of students, although football and rugby trade must give it a chance still. A concept that leaves me considering what reduced attendances in the future will do to our pubs.
  18. Mill Hill?
  19. Moyes wouldn’t have come here. Think that was obvious from his comments.
  20. Did 8 miles in 1 hour 10 minutesround Western Park area yesterday morning. Happy with that as still burning through the Christmas indulgence. Will do a 40 minute run this evening to set myself for a good week at work. Moving to Stoneygate next month, any good routes round there?
  21. there was also someone giving it to the seated area, which is reserved for guest or family members of the players. I can sense the mood changing.
  22. I left the stadium at full time. These stewards had to walk with this car, presume ownership or Rudkin, to Upperton Road.
  23. Nigel Pearson and his staff are the reason the King Power ownership did well.
  24. Kean’s Head is outstanding. I would also recommend the Brew Tavern next to the station.
  25. Now I’m starting to get worried.
