QPR home pre-match thread, 3pm Saturday.

Yep so long as he's fit. Put a real shift in against Leeds and again tonight for 120 minutes. I would like him as inverted right back to free Ricardo further up the pitch as an 8 but depends on his fitness -

Yeh would want Ricardo in the 8 role over Mcateer but depends on the fitness of Coady and Hamza after they played 120 minutes tonight. -
One of the worst teams in the league, so after our last 2 defeats, we really need to dispatch these. Mads, Ricardo, Faes, Nelson, Justin (if fit), Winks, Mcateer, KDH, Fatawu, Mavididi, Daka. Hamza deserves to play after his performance but he'll be knackered after playing 120 mins, same with Coady, Praet and Yunus.

Yes thats the one. I'm 37, so yeh pretty sure that was the show I watched as a kid in the 90's on channel 4. Had so many great players in serie a in the 90's
-
His passing can be dodgy but not having Winks to pass to doesn't help. Winks takes up great positions and rarely loses the ball, even in tight spaces, but his passing options were often limited tonight.
-
Whilst you are correct, most teams at the bottom of the prem and even towards the top of the Championship are better than a fair amount of the dross in Italy. Money has clearly changed things as Serie A was probably the best league in the 90's. I loved watching the Italian football show on channel 4.

So true and it shows more and more what a fraud Rodgers is/was. Even struggling with one of the only teams in the world where its nearly impossible to not win the league. Cant take away the fa Cup win and will always be grateful for it, but he really is vile and the transformation of the club from being toxic from top to bottom, to everyone loving life and oozing confidence, is a real testament to Enzo.
-
Does show that the right manager can get the best out of players. Both Vestergaard and Hamza had been pretty much written off by most and Enzo is getting the best out of them. Even Faes looked dodgy last season but has been great this season. Of course dropping down a league has helped but the way Enzo has revitalised so many players and given them confidence again is great to see, regardless of what league we are in. Even Daka has had a resurgence, even though a few have thrown him back on the scrap pile after his miss against Leeds.

I'd say that's his best performance for us, he was everywhere. Won tackles, got us moving forward with good passes, absolutely brilliant. Bit lazy of the BBC to award Fatawu motm. He scored the winner and it was a cracker, but Hamza and Vestergaard were immense for 120 minutes.

Really good performance from the lads considering all the changes. Vestergaard and Hamza were absolutely magnificent. Decent game, end to end and both teams had chances. Yunus could have scored 5. Give us Cov at home in the quarters please -
Miles off it is way over board. Was I amazed by him? No. Did he do OK for his first start against a premier league team? Yes
-
Not really. He started off pretty well and wanted the ball and found a few decent passes but the yellow card obviously means it's a good idea to take him off. Not sure why people on here like to slate Young players when they first come into the team, especially as he has actually done ok tonight.

Why are so many people surprised by the line up? Enzo literally said he would make 9/10 changes. Enzo can't win either way. We go strong and a key player gets injured then people would moan. He rests key players and people moan. The priority is the league and getting promoted -
How can you not enter the competition? That's not possible. It is a shame that the last 2 results have made it a necessity to rest players. Had we won the last 2 or even drawn with Leeds, then we could play a full strength side and not worry. Right now, our league form/results are the priority seeing as both Ipswich and Leeds are 6 points behind us and in much better form than us.
-
Enzo has already said this game won't decide whether we are ready for the prem or not as our squad will look very different next season.
-
Anyone know where Alves is up to with his fitness, and is there any chance of getting some minutes here?
-
They may not be skint, but they may have prudent dofs that won't overspend on players. What we think Soumare/Kristiansen are worth and what teams are willing to pay for them are 2 completely different things. It is true though that English teams get bent over by teams abroad when it's comes to both buying and selling players. Cant really blame them though when the money in the English game is so much greater than every other league.
-
Yeh I think taking Mavididi off handed them the initiative. I did think at the time that I thought it would have been Fatawu that got taken off when Mcateer came on. Wrong decision by Enzo has contributed to the defeat you could argue.
-
I don't think they would. I honestly think our current team is better than both of them.
-
And made a tit of himself in 2 of them!
-
Asking who you want to win out of Liverpool and Chelsea is like asking if you'd rather shag your mum or your Gran. Both utterly hideous

Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

Agreed but recruitment Will play a huge part as well. -
Seeing Sheff U and Burnley being embarrassingly shit every week, makes it even more annoying that we are a league below. I get we don't have a devine right to be in the prem and we were deservedly relegated but when teams go up you want to see some kind of fight/effort/quality like Luton have shown. The other 2 are an absolute embarrassment Edit: sorry I know its not totally championship related

I think both teams are pretty even in terms of player quality, it will be interesting if we do both go up how well both teams recruit as if we are honest, neither is good enough for the prem without serious recruitment. Both teams have certain players that are good enough for the prem and both teams have players that aren't yet/might never be at the prem standard. Whilst he had a decent game on Friday, I still think meslier is your weak link and Hermansen is head and shoulders better than him. Probably the only area where we are better than you over the pitch, other areas we are pretty similar I'd say although you men do have deeper options in attack than we do.
