  1. Yesssss great start, why oh why am I waiting for VAR to skank us, I hate what it’s done to natural celebratory instincts.
  2. Yay I’m in. Are the commentators on the moon or something?
  3. All my Sky channels now have just a blue screen . I’m running around like Scotty when the Enterprise is burning up I Cannae fix it Jim!
  4. He’s been mis-firing recently
  5. The slightest bit of pressure on him and he gets into a pickle. The manager often gives him a good grilling at half time. Often makes his opponents eyes water.
  6. At times it feels like it's a Forest fan who has hacked us on a Football Manager game. Ryan Bertrand......big contract...... hwa hwa hwa I think the question is raised because of the issues of transparency and communication, there's not a constant or consistent dialogue from anyone so there feels like a huge distance between us and when there's no official communication speculation and rumour takes over. When Top does speak / write it's interesting and seems very sincere, the piece re-assuring us they would not be walking away and what the club means to them was the kind of dialogue that's appreciated. The piece in the programme several games into last season explaining why we'd spent FA was well written but wrongly timed, it would not have affected my decision but announce that before selling the season tickets maybe, not after, at some stage of that summer the decision was made, Rodgers was told, Rodgers sulked and I do have some sympathy, no Premier League Club has ever done less in the summer market and survived (or ever done less full stop) so we'd written our own death knell and it was left to a sinking individual gut feeling that it was happening rather than a clear confirmation. In short they know more than they let on about our situation, at times it is prudent to keep it internal to ward off cheap bids for players, avoid deflated morale etc but if you want us to buy into something tell us what it is we're buying in to.
  7. I see Wes Forfana is still injured at Chelsea
  8. As long as Harry W*nks is fit we’ll be fine
  9. Just so long as they don’t call a stand The Soar End”
  10. Points? Points? What are they, it's been a while
  11. Ward Ricardo Faes Nelson Justin Choudhury Alves Braybrooke / Raikhi MacAteer Ashly F'ing Barnes or some other journeyman Marcal edit - maybe we keep Mavididi with Macateer taking the Braybrooke / Raikhi AM / 8 role. Cover would come from, er, Cover . Roll up folks just £55 a ticket......
  12. It’s not just about the time wasted, it’s about ruining momentum, I hate it when commentators say “The ref will only add it back on anyway…” firstly because they inevitably don’t add it sufficiently or at all and secondly if they do it doesn’t compensate for all the breaks in momentum, whenever you look like you’re building up a head of steam that’s the point at which they do it, you might get a 54 minute 2nd half but it’s sliced up into so many minuscule phases of play you can’t get any rhythm or capitalise on any exhaustion and force errors. If say a minute or so after the Leeds equaliser one of our players goes down with a mysterious head injury that requires 3 minutes of physio we probably ride the storm and that 2nd and 3rd goal don’t come. At that moment Leeds built a huge head of steam and we started making sloppy clearances and buckled under the relentless pressure. If we’d ensured there was very little ball in play in those minutes we catch a breath, sort our heads out and probably recover. The classic example was Arsenal at home last season. It was bizarre as such was the gulf in class we could have played all day and not scored yet Arsenals pre programmed DNA of gamesmanship meant that any occasion on which we upped the tempo and put just a bit of pressure on would be followed by a player, mostly Xhaka just sitting down with their head in their hands forcing a stoppage to break any rhythm or momentum we had. I’m aware that what should be added is the time beyond the reasonable expectation of length for an incident eg a throw should take say 30 seconds, if it takes 90 you add the excess 60 not the whole 90 but still a second half today with substitutions, a ridiculously long goal celebration where the guy just ignored the ref and stayed in the corner and another then went back across the centre circle to further delay the re-start, plus the many lengthy goal kick and throw in set ups and he gives just 5 minutes. The Nelson booking within the 5 did take a long time but I don’t have a great deal of sympathy there, bookings are part of the game if you’re careless or rash enough to concede one.
  13. I’m going to call the assistants Linesmen again, not because I’m old but because there’s FA assisting going on. Are they linked with mics and earpieces at this level? They just don’t seem to be a “team” at this level, there’s a ref who got his license in a box of cornflakes and two guys who can’t keep up with play, don’t understand the concept of ricochet or possess a set of b***s big enough to let the ref know they’ve seen something. It’s making the refs look even more like strutting peacock jobsworths with posters of Mike Dean on their walls.
  14. Has Begovic taken his goal kick yet, I popped out for a pee, pie, pint and a movie and he was still adjusting his socks when I got back to my seat
  15. Is that the same Begovic who took 5 minutes to take every goal kick after Bournemouth went ahead against us only to be beaten by a late Mahrez free kick resulting in the legendary potty mouthed fazzyfox rant which laid it on thick that he was a cheating b*****d and the outcome is very humorous ?
  16. No thought for his team mates, that was a very pig headed thing to do by Hogg
  17. Oh dear, thought it was going too well
  18. Yessssss. Now get an hudder one!
  19. Yes Chair addressed the bench but will table an appeal so they can put the whole thing to bed, that's all the news so-far
  20. Out of contract I believe, who would have thought a year ago we'd be desperate for that day NOT to come
  21. Oh dear, haven’t they got a bit of Dexys or something more decent to put on WTF?
  22. Yessss, Proud of the lads, great stuff!
